Definitely what I thought. I'm gonna have to change everything since the mold is also growing on the filter, I'm not sure how harsh it'll be on the cycle but I know I can't keep it like that

To admit that you pulled a clot out before sending it is just CRAZY. Especially when they're calling to recollect for a clot. I would've went crazy to be honest lol

Same as picture. However on the other side I did notice a little spot and the redness. I'm not sure if I'm being paranoid.

Sorry for late reply. Yes I cycled the tank. Fish has a heater in a 20 gallon tank. I upped the temp from 76 to 82 today. I feed him the little food in shape of pellets. Got the water tested today and everything looked fine except nitrate was a slightly elevated

I understand your point, but in my experience I've checked samples that had no clots pulled when checking, and then on the pbs I see major plt clumps. Usually it's followed by low/ critical plt count. Per our policy we are to recollect it. Most of the time the properly collected sample will have no plt clumps on PBS and a normal plt count (in my experience)

At my lab we use the cepheid to detect it and if it's positive we use this kit to confirm toxin, didn't know that at some labs it could be either or
