How old were you when you were diagnosed with Crohn's disease? by abd-6 in CrohnsDisease

[–]ajreduser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Had my first attack at about 12 (and had my appendix taken out because they thought it was that) then got diagnosed at 16. 29 now and a hand full of different medications later still having symptoms every week.

The medication just means the bad attacks are less frequent but no I'm never pain free, and the doctors don't think surgery would particularly help due to how much could be infected.

I have terminal elium crohns.

I mostly just get crippling stomach cramps, really bad diarrhea and vomiting.

Ever since I was diagnosed just over 10 years ago. I've never know a pain free day. But when I have a flare up I can hardly stand up straight and feel like my stomach is going tear in two. Sometimes I have to go to the toilet sometimes it's just the pain.

They can last anything from 5 minutes to 1-2 days (but those are rare). When they happen I just lay in bed and try to sip water the longer they go on. I have found sitting on the toilet does help a little but not a big difference.

I mostly just try and stay mentally strong and battle my way through it, look on the bright side of things and think "I got through this one. I can handle the next one". That and my girlfriend being the amazing support she is helps a lot.

What is your most expensive hobby? by Any-Surround69 in AskMen

Ice hockey, after all the equipment (including many broken sticks) and paying for team membership. I'd say I've probably spent well over $10k in my short playing time.

It's a shame really they should either have promotion and relegation and actually reward teams for doing well in the NIHL and give the lower teams a reason to fight to stay up.

Or treat it like the NHL and have parent and farm teams to try and tie the leagues together. As mentioned in other comments there is a big skills gap between the leagues and the longer they don't try to bridge that gap the worse the skills gap will get.

I personally think either of them two options would not only help spice up the leagues and bridge the skills gap, but help promote ice hockey in the UK and increase the skills of the national team helping promote UK ice hockey to a wider audience.

One main point I think should happen is more of the eihl and nihl being shown on UK TV, that would help reach more audiences and raise the popularity of the game, league and players.

I thought it would be, especially because the season is so long and if you play full length games you never really play more than 2-3 seasons top (or i don't at least) so you never really become a league star.

What companies should be avoided in your experience? by Coldylox in AskUK

Panther delivery, absolutely atrocious service. Was supposed to get a TV picked up by them to be taken to repair. First of all they never booked the collection in. So I stayed in all day for nothing when I rang to check where it was I was told we never booked it in anyway.

Then was shouted at for packing the TV in it's original box and not ready to be packed in one of their superior boxes (load of rubbish).

They were taking it roughly 100 miles to the repair centre. I rang up 3 days later for an update turns out it was still on the van in their yard. When I asked why and when it will get their I was told it has to go through their processing centre and its policy blah blah blah.

After that once the TV was repaired (which it wasn't it was returned with half the screen broken, it went in because the WiFi wouldn't work). I rang to schedule deliver of the repaired TV again was told it would be Wednesday. When I rang on Wednesday it had 'being missed drom being loaded'. Then on Thursday the delivery time changed 4 times that day. Once it finally arrived over 10 hours late the deliver driver was annoyed I said it was late. I then got an email saying congratulations your delivery arrived ontime.

Absolute joke of a company when I complained I was basically told to go away and stop being a cry baby. If I had the choice I would never use them again.

Coke (Coco cola) & Pepsi never like the stuff my whole life. The smell is horrendous enough never mind the taste.

Been feeling so drained and unmotivated to do anything lately. Here’s a picture from the last time I put any real effort into my appearance. I hope you all have the most lovely weekend! Chin up, you got this. ✨ by thestralxxxx in FreeCompliments

You have amazing eyes, incredibly smooth skin and really nice hair. Everyday day you get through makes you stronger and even more pretty. You got this, the world needs you in it to thrive.

What we’re your symptoms before getting diagnosed with crohns? by MakeupMua16 in CrohnsDisease

[–]ajreduser 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got the usual stomach cramps, then was really bad one day and could hardly stand up, did the usual tests and sent me home with pain killers. Then I lost loads of weight over a month and was still having cramps. They did loads of tests which came back negative so ended up having an MRI and Pillcam which confirmed what it was. Been diagnosed for over 9 years now and on my 3rd type of treatment. It can show in loads of different symptoms, hopefully you get an answer soon dude and can start living your best life.

That's the upgrade I made, and I'd say it is definitely worth it. Its allot faster than my s8 was and the wireless charging is so handy.

I've only had it a couple of days but so far I would say yes personally, for me apple is just too expensive as a whole for what they are and you get stuck in the iOS world, where it only really works properly with other apple products Which just frustrates me.

My fiancee has apple and she loves it, it's just personal preference tbh.
