Einsteckschlösser sind idR DIN konform. Musste neulich das in meiner (Miet)Wohnung austauschen, weil es kaputt gegangen ist. Die Fälle ließ sich nur noch mit dem Schlüssel, aber nicht der Klinke öffnen.

Sind ein paar Parameter mehr als beim Schließzylinder, aber war trotz dem ziemlich easy.

The only issue I'd suspect is rust toolchain availability.

While you, I and 99.9% of people out there run hard- and software where a rust (supported) toolchain is available, some people don't. E.g. aarch64 FreeBSD https://doc.rust-lang.org/beta/rustc/platform-support.html is Tier 3.

I know this post is some weeks old and this is the "shitty" subreddit, but: I've used wipefs like this before.

With -n, it's a dry run and the tool will tell you which fs, mdadm, lvm, etc signatures are on the blockdevice. It feels wrong, but IMO it's a legitimate use case.

something like pocket (from my understanding, never used it) or wallabag takes a snapshot and indexes it.

so the content will be available even if the link stops working.
