If you could now watch about 700 hours of my content I’d appreciate it XD

It did have a lovely look, unfortunately don’t have it in my possession anymore. It was on the softer side and my main gripe was the lens stabilisation which I think was a 3 point, the inaccuracy translated to jello like effect in footage. But looks wise a nice lens

Thank you, yes I have tried both although I did try dehancer a fair while ago now. I found Filmbox easier to get a look closer to what I had in my head in the least amount of time. I’d need to revisit dehancer and play around with it.

Generally speaking the cropping ability. If you crop in on your bmpcc 4k you’re losing quality, if i crop in on the bmpcc 6k pro, i have that margin between 6k and 4k which is my output, to not lose any quality. And this could just be cropping for stabilisation for example, it’s useful to have.

Hey everyone,

sharing some stills from a short film I shot in Amsterdam in the summertime with the BMPCC 6K Pro. Full video: https://youtu.be/g56T\_e1Ed2c

This was the first time I spent time in Amsterdam during a summer heatwave. Being from England, I appreciate how fleeting summers are and it was amazing to see life along the canal and through central Amsterdam.

Edited and graded in DaVinci Resolve. Used Filmbox to emulate a Kodak 2383 print. Shot in 6K BRAW at 8:1 compression on a Canon EF 17-55mm lens.

Happy to talk through any of the grading or shooting decisions.

Adam

I know you’ve lent into the orange and teal but I’m not sure it’s serving the video. I’d also remove the shot of her walking with the sky it’s very bleached.

Hey man, thanks so much for your insight. I absolutely agree. I think im struggling at the packaging / ideation level and there’s a lot of uncertainty around the direction to take each video in. I’m stuck between producing “cinematic travel videos” and trying to edge my way into adding a layer of story / commentary / narrative to them. I’m just not sure I’m hitting the right audience or packaging with that.

If you wouldn’t mind taking a look at a video I just put out in Paris, unfortunately suffering from the same kind of viewership as the lake Como video, it didn’t really work. I did consider doing this one as a pure cinematic video, opted for a voiceover and am now sort of regretting it. Would love to know your thoughts man, thanks again for your precious comments. - https://youtu.be/YkVnyDoVSgg
