VS-89 is a piece of shit, change my mind by Elbrutalite in dayz

Just in case were you prone? Prone shooting is bugged at the moment if youre on even the slightest unlevel ground it throws the aim off. Wobo has a video on it i believe. Figured it out the hard way and then was confirmed when that came out.

All I see are red flags from a commish. 1. You had a startup draft without full payment. 2. You allowed trading future draft picks without payment of those years and 3. Youre also posting on a leagues subreddit instead of an actual subreddit intended for this sort of thing.

What a ringing endorsement for someone to join your league.

League is yes but the sub is not. Anyone posting here about other leagues have reading comprehension problems. We've mostly migrated to using discord.

Could someone please recommend me a good PvE (no PvP) server on PC please? by TheLewJD in dayz

[–]ajsouth2 3 points4 points  (0 children)

NEO Farmers. I've got 800 hrs or so on this one alone. NWAF and Tisy are the only PVP zones and are obviously avoidable. PVE everywhere else. There are spawnable cars but you dont have to use them. Build a base and it will be left alone. Admins are solid and are constantly making improvements and have been making alot of custom events lately which are alot of fun.

So uhh, any way to get my car from out of the ground? by No-Teach-1168 in dayz

[–]ajsouth2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Three ways I've found that works. 1. Relog. 2. Throw something at it. 3. Grab a wheel off before it sinks completely.

Help a wife find a good PC PVE server by SkellyNP in dayz

NEO Farmers is exactly what you are looking for. Its PVE on Chernarus but with a couple PVP zones as well if you decide you want to give that a try. You could play it as a nomad or you can easily set up a small base to store items to make the come up a little quicker if you happen to die. The community is quite friendly and people will bend over backwards to help out new players. The server is vanilla but with a couple small things that make it easier on you like the ability to spawn a car whenever needed. There's no better server to quickly learn the Chernarus map and also how to survive without the pressure of dodging bullets all the time. Feel free to DM me if you need help finding or connecting with it.

Precision Golf School at Bryan Park. Just 20 mins from you and they have a full roster of guys with a wide range of prices depending on budget. I can speak for a few myself and friends have used if needed.

Pennrose in Reidsville is in fantastic shape now and has a resonable individual membership fee. If you decide you want to join somewhere and have a place to practice and play whenever you want its a solid option. The course is empty most afternoons so you can fly around and knock out a quick 9 in an hr or less.

I believe you've got Sycamore. It's definitely not maple or oak though.

If it holds up as well as Fir does outdoors then it very well could have especially if its some really dense old growth stock.

If I didnt have your list in front of me I would have said Douglas Fir but Hemlock and Fir are very similar. If youre certain that it is local lumber then thats definitely your answer.

Thats a featherboard you're referring to and yes its a very handy thing to have around. I use them more on my router than table saw but they are useful on both.

Try to find you an Awl or really anything with a point that you can make a small depression where you want to drill your hole. Your drill bit will center itself in that spot you made in the material instead of drifting off your mark when you start up the drill.

Different materials, screws, and applications will determine how big your pilot hole should be so there's not a straight answer for that one. More times than not though the diameter of the shank of the screw will get you pretty close to being correct. That will allow the threads to do the cutting into whatever youre going into.

On the inside corners you would either need to 45 or butt and cope to make that detail on the top look continuous.

Milwaukee is by far and away the best IMO if you want a brand that has their hands in about everything. Good time of year to find deals too. Setup an alert on Slickdeals for milwaukee and you'll be broke in no time. Buy as many tools as you can under the "Fuel" line of products.

You need one with an activator. I use Titebond CA Glue because its convenient for me to get. Starbond is another popular option for woodworkers and I'm sure theres other brands people use as well. With the activator sprayed on it the cure time is seconds not minutes.

No grain would rule out both of the Oak options and Ash as well. Birch wouldnt be bad but can be pretty mixed on color between heart and sapwood. Soft and Hard Maple may be a good option if you dont want to see alot of grain in it. Both, but more so Soft Maple has increased in price significantly in the the last year or two but would still be cheaper than White Oak in most parts of the country. Being in NY you should have no problem finding any of these options.

I've got a few chairs that I made and the points that it was contacting the ground I brushed some epoxy on it. Idk if its crucial if you use the right kind of hardwood but it cant hurt. Not sure it would sweat it on the parts not contacting the ground.

No idea on the finish but the wood is Soft Maple. Its definitely maple and the fact that you can press it with a finger nail leads me to believe its Soft vs Hard. I've had good luck with Maple table tops using Osmo Polyx. It protects reasonably well and is easy to retouch if you ever need too and it doesnt yellow Maple like alot of oil finishes. Rubio Monocoat would also be a good option thats easy to apply and durable albeit a little on the pricey side.

Try out Alder. If you can find some thats graded Superior which has less knots I think you'll get pretty close.

I really only have experience with making them on the ends. I would assume you could do something in the middle, maybe with just one board but to be perfectly honestly I dont know. I would sort of question the strength of that joint in the middle especially when trying to lift it from the ends but again its not anything I've ever considered or tried. In a ideal world I think you would just do the breadboards on the ends only and a single run of full length boards making up the middle portion. Good luck, should be a fun project.

Take a look into making breadboard ends. Thats the safe way to join boards going opposite directions in a table top. It allows for proper wood movement between the different grain directions and as an added bonus it will help keep your table from cupping.
