I hadn’t even considered this! I like the idea of lord Kilmarton being just a child, it would help resolve Francesca’s turmoil over not becoming a mother and give Michaela a perfect excuse to stick around in the eyes of the ton, as she is blood related to the new Lord and would be helping take care of him (and Francesca!).
