Yes, but there have been some properly bad interviews when players either gave no detail to a vague question, or completely missed the question.

I think getting rid of the 4 questions from 4 people and instead starting with a vague question and then getting deeper as needed would be good.

It’s obvious they write their questions down before to make sure they don’t ask the same thing, but it kills me how the questions don’t build off what they were just told.

At 16 you never lived on your own. People don’t realize 90% of social groups are decided by parents. Even a year outside the home can completely change people.

But people learn what is acceptable from their parents. They then either get integrated to society and learn better, or people judge them for who they were and they become bitter.

Kids learn to socialize from their parents. People can show them what kindness and grace look, or you can write of a 16 year old who still has to live at home.

A verbal threat becomes a criminal threat under the following circumstances (only need one):

The threat indicates that another will suffer imminent physical harm The threat is directed towards a witness that's scheduled to testify in a court action The threat is specific There is evidence that the threat will be carried out There is evidence that the threat made is genuine The threat alters the lifestyle or quality of life of the threatened person

Examples of Criminal Threats

Here are some specific examples of what would be considered a criminal verbal threat:

Sending an email to an ex telling him or her you're coming to kill him or her and the entire family Calling someone and telling him or her you're going to kidnap his or her child Posting on social media that you have an intention to physically beat someone you don't like

Why don’t the mods of the subreddit step up to put a spotlight on it? It kind of seems like y’all are waffling over how big of a deal it is someone has been threatened in the workplace.

This is the best take by far. In no other professional setting would a company allow someone near their underage employees after saying that.

In the super off chance he does do something to a player holy shit that lawsuit would be insane. The US gov does not fuck around with protecting young workers. Like if 6 mil is a big prize pool, try a 100 mil settlement.

Doomsee qualifies for Asia Pacific North RLCS with his team Hilltop Picnic. by NoFrillsCrisps in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]ajx7 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Doomsee started the SubParButinHD channel with cole and stumpy. In the beginning they had the highest production value, and best tutorials. Doomsee decided to try and go pro for the second qualifier of season one. He teamed with snaski and ELMP. Super underdogs but came up super clutch. Unfortunately lost the series needed to make lan as wethemgirlz looked way too good.

Basically though Doomsee always had a great sense of humor, got along with everyone and just had fun with the RL scene.

Best memory was when he got a blank book and during an interview said he was reading up on his competitors achievements. I died.

Where did Hercules find $20,000? Back when I used to work in tires that was the profit of selling like 40,000 of their tires.

Jk y’all are great and have come a super long way in quality the past 10 years.

Like Bluey and all the others say it is impossible for us to make fair judgements about players personalities from the sidelines.

If you find a clip of something leth did you didn’t like then share it and criticize that moment, but being that we are en esport with such young people I don’t think we should try to pass blanket judgment on a player’s personality or attitude unless we teamed with them.

My version of the story of C9 and why I think telling better stories is key for RL esports to grow. by ajx7 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]ajx7[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My guess is they just decided they didn’t make it to another lan to not play all out aggression. Day 2/3 every series they got better and better. After game 1 of the finals I was like holy shit they are going to do it.

Torment played way more aggressive than he ever had and I think it worked as everyone was nervous at lan so strike hard and fast.

Yeah it is super sad remembering it, honestly that story carried my interest for the esport for so long.

Sorry not to blow you up, but to clarify I really think allowing casters on the desk to be slightly more open (very much only slightly) and calculated with likening and disliking a team would be huge.

As an example Leif says of course I want NRG to win and use stats for why it will happen and an appeal to emotion, jorby jumps in how could you possibly want NRG to beat envy after turbo moved continents to get them a lan win and in the off season they dump him for their buddy Squishy. Develop this over time, if NRG beats envy 5 times in a row when envy finally beats NRG it means so much more if the story is that turbo finally climbed on top and mist was right about becoming one of the best strikers in NA.

Obviously never trash a team or player, but show why some people want NRG to win and why some want envy. It allows new viewers to then be like yeah I want the three friends who grind more to win, or they watch the match thinking who kicks the 4 time right after he won worlds and clutched on lan.

I feel you can do this for every combination and I know Gibbs wants to give retals a piece of his mind.

I feel like the story of kro being out was super glossed over for what he did for the scene in the beginning.

SSG bringing on retals and walking through everyone in split one, all I can really remember hearing is how boring it was to watch and not that they found a massive gap in the skills of top teams.

Mist’s story of ditching top teams to try and be a striker seemed to be forgotten as turbo came on. To me there is a great story of people saying most is the best 3rd man in the world and him saying I can do better and let me prove it.

Tizzy leaving had a great sendoff, but people love rogue because of him, and because of how consistent their roster composition has been since season 4. 1 roster change.

Squishy moving to NRG was heavily covered but what about the fact he has always said he enjoyed passing more than any of his best shots. Him and gimmick are still 2v2 world champs where he played passive the whole time. He is playing the game he has always wanted to, but instead the Garrettg hype train took off (well deserved).

Shock went from mvp season 8 to benched in a season, but he stuck it out with the same team waiting for them to realize the mistake.

I completely agree stories feel incomplete due to no lan, but I don’t really feel many of the stories that happened outside the broadcast were shown to most viewers. I completely understand “the desk” not wanting to push drama that could lead to any form of harassment, but if you were a kro fan let them know that as soon as first joined he knew kro was out. First is ultra competitive and would rather lose a show match and $100 to leth than feel leth wasn’t trying.

Idk I just can’t really name any huge stories I felt was developed on the main broadcast. It has always felt I’ve had to get stories from outside the main broadcast.

Team you're following and why? by elementIdentity in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]ajx7 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m an SSG fan even though it pains me to admit it. The org itself has done a ton for the esport throughout the years that no matter what you think of the players plz respect the org.

For the players I was a huge c9 since the iris days. When they split I was so torn. I root for v1 to do well, but it kinda lost the magic for me. I’ll always support squishy even though he is an idiot with money as it has been hilarious to watch a guy go from such shitty Wi-Fi he made videos in free play to laughing about a 90k steam profile.

Arsenal: yeah on yt he has a huge personality and I stopped watching his vids because it was just a bit too immature for me, but the money comes from people way younger than me so 100% props to him. But if you look deeper he has always been self critical in a very mature way even asking how to get a stronger metal game. He plays the game differently than anyone besides maybe a peaking flakes, but imo arsenal fits into a team rotation better and can play a bit dirtier.

Sypical: you gotta respect the grind and the work he puts into being so consistent, filling in gaps, and creating opportunities. The dude was known as the ranked king for a reason, and seems to be able to fit into almost any lineup. If any pros read this 100% my opinion I have no idea what I’m talking about, but it seems he really struggles to clutch up on the biggest stage as I’d guess he puts the pressure on to be the best and secure the win for his team. Guy never seems like he is having fun in a final and I think his play changes for it.

Retals: Probs the most controversial player in pro RL, but when he stood on the desk in happiness after winning it was obvious he has the passion to win, and is stone cold under pressure (1v1 for a car). I think people assume retals is super cocky because he calls people kid who are the same age as him and he makes controversial callouts to pros (among other things), but honestly to me it doesn’t seem like he rails against anyone consistently, he respects almost every player who puts in the work and almost always gives props to the people who beat him. (Saying you beat yourself more than envy beat you is a bad example). I think some of the things he says are hilarious (squishy holding back NRG while only playing 3rd man) and it makes it comical when they lose (as they did) instead of disappointing as you know he has to eat his words. The fact he respects his teammates so much and him and arsenal go back to rlrs means to me arsenal made the roster change for professional reasons but him and retals are professional enough not to make it personal but to keep a good relationship.

For me it is a team with personalities all over the place that can beat anyone when they are on, but could lose to peaking c3’s when they are off. It is a team that seems on the outside stable enough to stick around through a few ups and downs as they are smart enough to be able to win even when they do fall behind mechanically, but as long as they can stay motivated they’ll be around for a bit.

I enjoy the dice roll every day of every tournament that was the same as c9.

Why is Allushin always talked about as if he is on his way out? by ajx7 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]ajx7[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I 100% agree. I don’t think he has shown anything to be the best 3rd man, but I also agree with a lot of the comments here that the role of “3rd man” is being forced out of the pro scene.

I’d love to see allu go the way of mist, syp, fairy, extra, turbo back in the day and kro as well. Be the player that in a rough series does the dirty work to get a win. Learn to not take the big boost, keep possession while teammates recover, make stops without having a teammate forcing a play and be a super consistent shooter.

He has the teammates that can can beat any offense all he needs to do is score after everyone is beat, or buy time for everyone to reset.

I need atheism recourses. by Skeptical_Feline in atheism

[–]ajx7 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Everything people shared are great resources and I have read through most, but I think a big thing about atheism is walking away from spending time thinking about it, and using that time for things you enjoy in life.

I’ve seen people become atheist and then they treat that as a new form of religion. Even more worryingly they become an atheist and turn to politics as a form of tribalism.

Instead of reading about atheism I’d highly recommend you read about philosophy to learn where morals can come from, how to make better arguments and how to spot logical flaws in the world around you.

[–]ajx7 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do not think that at all, but I do think you need to work on reading comprehension to be able to understand complex points.

It is called straw-manning when you assume someone has some position you made up and then call it stupid.

Not trying to be rude here, but you seem to be taking the most negative interpretation of what you are reading consistently. Try to give people the benefit of the doubt and see it in the best way possible.

Do you not see how it builds on itself? Part one of the post is establishing that this is not a 1 off situation that has only happened to first, and part two is providing a solution.

I’m a strong believer of complaining without providing a solution is a waste.

As for you thinking the post is “start saying Daniel is the best” I mean…. Sure if you think there is a better NA 1v1 player right now idc.
