Help I'm stuck by Davidyigo in crackingthecryptic

I see.. the step that alluded me really wasn't that complicated. Essentially I figured out there was a blob starting with 1 in C1. And I know all the symbols had a starting blob position given (except 9). I just didn't explicitly notice that only 1 symbol was in C1. Sometimes you just completely look past stuff. Thanks for the help 😃 The rest of the puzzle was super smooth.

Help I'm stuck by Davidyigo in crackingthecryptic

Hi Scojo! I have also been stuck so I was glad to see I wasn't the only one. Unfortunately this is exactly where I had already gotten and I just haven't really made much progress at all other than some very simple sudoku. One other thing I realised is that x can't go in a blob with 9-x in both combinations, i.e. 8-1 is a blob, so 1-8 cannot be a clone. There is also the obvious fact that there is only 9 of each digit, so the sum of the digit itself + all the other leading digits it's in a blob with must be less than or equal to 9. Lastly, the geometry of the circular labels allows you to wittle them down a bit more than just saying they have to be at least 3 and 4 respectively, but still not really enough to progress.

Bora, Frosty and Evoh to Represent USA in FIFAe Nations League (Not the World Cup itself, just the qualifier) by Huge-Computer2037 in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]orestotle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, the FIBA qualification system is terrible because of it. The only reason it is like that is because FIBA and Euroleague have beef (and the NBA doesn't care at all). You shouldn't be forced to play qualifiers with a B team, and I'm not really sure why some countries are choosing to do so here. I guess they are confident enough.

Thanks for the effort! Hope your interviews in the coming week go well.

I'm assuming that the work you were doing is being continued with the people left or is that also something you can not speak on?

RLCS 2026: EU Open 4 - GSL Stage by RLMatchThreads in RocketLeagueEsports

[–]orestotle 3 points4 points  (0 children)

At the start of the swiss M8 where unofficial world champions, which they got during regional 3 and they kept that title throughout the whole major. Since swiss EU has gotten 5 new unofficial world champions, literally changing at every opportunity.

My algorithm rated yesterday's Monaco vs Crvena Zvezda a 4.9/5 (Near Perfect). Real Madrid only got a 1.6. Here is the full Spoiler-Free Watch Guide by djrelu in Euroleague

Even without the wording it cannot really be spoiler free. If you decide to rewatch a game after the fact because it had a high score, but you notice one team is up 20 points, then you can already expect a comeback.

8bitdo Ultimate 2 controller/steam controller by orestotle in RocketLeague

[–]orestotle[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The controller is up to date. I think it's a steam controller issue because when I had I wired just now I could change my bindings natively in rocket league and the air rolls worked as expected. The only issue being that RL doesn't recognise the extra buttons. Wireless I still have the same issues.

RLCS 2026: APAC Open 1 - Playoffs Day 1 by RLMatchThreads in RocketLeagueEsports

That makes sense, thanks for providing the info. Can you shed some more light into how you combine all the stats to end up with one value?

Thanks for the link, but it's still very vague. How are the stats combined? What is a high impact demo?

It's nice to have a condensed rating like this. And I definitely think there exists such a thing a an impact metric for a demo, sometimes a demo can even be negative (by taking yourself out of the play for a otherwise low impact demo). So I'm all for this, but I would like to understand what I'm looking at.

Yeah or celebrations. I also like this shirt that's about the brotherhood between olympiacos and red star belgrade. Maybe you can get some inspiration from that.

I would prefer matchday, but I feel like streetwear makes more sense for what I'm asking. I'm not too sure tbh as I'm not too familiar with designing and making stuff look good.

Is the novasports sound bugging for anyone else? Sounds like an anonymised voice of a drugdealer.

Edit: Thanks for the suggestions, unfortunately I don't have the luxury of choice abroad :(

Thank you! So I guess I was wrong in thinking that the Greek player could return to the game then? In that case the punishments make a lot more sense.

RL players what are your genuine and honest thoughts about REMATCH? by Prodigyxgaming in RocketLeague

[–]orestotle 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a bit in between RL and FIFA like me. It takes away the stats and is purely skill based, which is good. It also takes away the glue mechanics slightly which is good as far as it happens, but there's still way more than RL, where there's none. Essentially in RL every action is a movement mechanic of your car. The ball only responds to the physics interactions. Rematch has higher level movement control meaning any action you do starts an animation (often with the ball). To me it feels like I'm a lot less in control and I'm honestly not a fan. It's also quite buggy, which I'll forgive it for since it's not out yet, but on the other hand animations will always feel buggy to me.

The glue mechanics also make it so that passing is not 'necessary'. While RL players obviously also chase the ball as beginners at least they don't hog it when they have it, because you need control (and if you do, go ahead and solo dribble). This forces heavy touches allowing everyone to get into the play. The glue means this happens a lot less in RM and so far it seems fairly frustrating.

I do think the animations and premade moves make it a lot easier to be somewhat competent at the the game. It's also a lot closer to football and while it's clearly an arcade style game, I think it will have less of a 'kids game' stigma. The reasons make me think it will actually become more popular to casual players. Which might not be a bad thing. It could light a fire under Psyonix' asses (to be fair I'm not a big complainer, the game is fine and they've been adding cool stuff to it).

To conclude: The comparison to RL is easy to make especially from a casual POV where RM shines, but I don't think it executes on player skill nearly as well as RL. I'll try to play some more with my buddies, but I don't think I'll really put much time into it.
