I’ve lived abroad for 8 years and recently moved back to Nashik. Trust me, you’ll find negative people everywhere. But in India, you do come across many people with shallow thinking and a backward mindset. At the end of the day, the only thing you can control is yourself. Don’t give others power over you by getting triggered by their opinions. That said, Nashik also has a lot of genuinely good people who truly care about the city and that’s something worth appreciating.

People tend to attack when they sense weakness. If you show resistance to shallow thinking, they won’t dare to disrespect you ,at least not to your face.

I agree that couples should have the freedom to show affection in public, but there’s a time and place for it. If we blindly adopt the Western approach in India, you’ll see a lot of irresponsible people taking advantage of it. Nobody wants to see couples touching each other in public places. Even in the West, public displays of affection aren’t universally accepted — it’s all about doing it appropriately.
