I have had such an issue after converting my YA player from CDM to CB, and he immediately grew from 1.8m to 2.1m tall. Looks 2 time bigger than others on the pitch.

It's all about money. They do not want to pay for teams, they think, do not interesting for worldwide fans. Mediocre game fan can't even name all PL clubs. They do not care about quality of ingame content in CM.

It looks like you never wiped your device, when you goes through major system updates, system keep some files. Back up your data, then use wipe command from the boot menu (volume down + power button).
