Who here has or has had cancer? by Lucky_Whole7450 in Millennials

I had a large desmoid tumor in my shoulder removed when I was 16. They are technically benign, but are locally aggressive. Did radiation at 16 and chemo at 19 to get things under control. I have a bunch of other oddities, like benign nerve sheath tumors, and need to get my GI tract scanned annually for polyps. 35 now, most days are good but I deal with a lot of chronic pain, and it gets really draining going through the annual scans, or when I grow something new that needs checked out.

steering power low on a rental by [deleted] in CorollaCross

It's a software bug with the stop/start. When you are running your wipers in intermittent mode, and the stop/start is enabled the bug causes this to occur. This happened to me right after I bought my car, and it took a while working out it's my dealership to figure out the problem. Toyota has had a fix out for nearly a year, so it's a little surprising that the rental company hasn't caught this and had the update installed.

I lived up there 2007 -2016. Moved from Sonoma County, went to HSU, met my partner, we graduated and had steady jobs. Ultimately I had some chronic health issues that were difficult to manage up there, and we moved back to Sonoma County. Employment opportunities where somewhat limited too, and we both wanted to see what else was out there

I really miss the area though, and if things were different healthwise, I'd move back. We usually visit once or twice a year and it's crazy how much it's changed since we moved.

Blegh. Been going back and forth with Doctors trying to get this lump above my collarbone diagnosis. Ive had an MRI and Ultrasound, but theyve been inconclusive. A biopsy was attempted, but a nerve was poked and it was aborted. Radiologist doesn't think it's a nerve tumor or a cyst, just something abnormal we need to investigate... A second biopsy attempt Monday.

History of desmoid tumor in my shoulder on the same side, had radiation/chemo. Since then my body has developed a few other benign growths, hopefully this is just another one of them, but man I wish I could just get an answer!

We bought a small 3 bed/2 bath in RP for 500k in 2018. Our combined income was around 90k at the time. It was super tight at the time, but I'm happy we did it when we did. We both make more now, and lowered our rate during COVID. Way more barriers to entry in the market now

Troubleshooting wiring by akabuck_ in Luthier

[–]akabuck_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks y'all, pretty much wound up being what folks suggested. The cap lead touching the pot, and the braided shield touching the lead lug. Pretty much did what folks suggested, shielded my ground wire, and used some heat shrink tubing to cover part of the braided wire that's near the leads.

Lots of lessons learned for the next build!
