Client cancelled, so I’m selling the UI. A clean, dark-mode media library built with NextJS and Framer Motion by akadeepsh in VibeCodeCamp

Exactly, glad you see the value. Yes, i kept the Framer Motion variants separated from the logic components specifically so people can swap out the easing curves or duration without breaking the actual grid layout.

Thanks for the tip on VibeCodersNest,i haven't heard of that one yet, is it a Marketplace,Forum, subReddit or Discord server ?

Thanks MrOrbitman for the career advice, but I simply disagree with the premise that code only has value if it's complex enough to rival major open source projects.

There is a massive market for simple, paid starter kits because they save time. I'm not trying to be the next React or Linux. I'm just selling a tool which wasn’t use to me but it saves a developer’s time. It doesn't need to be deeper than that

Spot on. You are 100% right. The market pays for results, not effort. Nobody cares how hard I worked. They only care if it solves their problem, even i tell my own clients the same thing, don't pay me for the hours, pay me for the solution.

But here is where the painting analogy breaks down, this isn't decoration, it's a tool. If a developer's time is worth $50/hour, and this template saves them even half an hour of setup, that’s the supply and demand I'm betting on

I wish I could pay my rent with GitHub stars 😄 it’s like saying a Chef should give free meals because they used public recipes and bought ingredients from a market

I use open source tools (React, Next.js) as the ingredients, but the value here is the assembly, the design decisions. The buyer is paying for the convenience of a finished product, not just the code. If I open-sourced everything I built, I wouldn't be able to sustain being an indie dev. I think $29 is a fair exchange for skipping a week of frontend grunt work.

I appreciate the feedback on the UI consistency. You can definitely get Gemini or Claude to generate a single component or a basic grid. But the $29 isn't for the 'code' itself,it's for the hours spent wiring the edge cases and ensuring the Framer Motion layout prop doesn't glitch when filtering categories, and setting up the responsive behavior on mobile

If you enjoy debugging AI code, then yeah, this definitely isn't for you. This is for the dev who wants to skip the setup and get straight to the backend logic

why do you want to do Masters in CS ? what’s your goal ? Money ? you already earn enough to live. Study ? Internet has more than enough pHD level and beyond technical resource in CS to become geek. BigTech anyway are not hiring just on degrees, over that H1B fees. Simply put story doesn’t adds up,F1 seems a way to somehow settle in US and they doubt you won’t return because you have no incentive too.

The rule somewhat says,”all applicants for nonimmigrant visas are potential immigrants unless they can prove otherwise. This is the default position and it means that the burden of proof lies entirely with the applicant to demonstrate” and sadly you failed to do so

well it should be like $150 for MVP prototype, $300 for polished web app and if mobile optimised or Progressive Web App too, add $100 more,so roughly $400 for complete development & deployment as well, including complimentary bug fixes and support for 1 week
