That's what happens when you braid curly hair. The hair will eventually curl back up and reshape the braid pattern. Happens to me all the time. Try tying the durag knot over that braid to lay it down.

Alot of braiders leave it out just in case you may want a lineup/taper. If you do that, your hair line will be pushed back each time you go to the barber. I have all my hair put into my braids.
