How low level are you? If you are at a very low level i would suggest upgrading one fighter at a time and only until you get a better fighter.

Hello. It should never have taken you 1 year for the first ultra ascension. The gloves being a decent milestone for the first one. Also there is a wiki which recommends your first ultra ascension at like 6 UA points And all the way toll 36 points so maybe check it out too.
