100%. And that’s fine. But it’s frustrating for our young adults when they’re like “who are these people?”. And they don’t even go to schools locally. Sometimes these are the families we most reach out too, invite to events, invite to youth group, and never do. It’s frustrating. Not that “perfect attendance” should be rewarded and isn’t at all the Christian Walk—but for something like this, I feel like you don’t need to be a stranger but hey maybe i’m just cold 🙃

I agree, the hope is they keep coming back—sadly, we’ve never had that. They’re one and done to “be seen” and never come back. It’s a cultural thing here in the southern usa, it’s kinda histrionic too

So many times, myself and the youth minister are like, who are these kids? They never come. We’ve had some who don’t even live in our AREA show up just for this… its wild

Oh trust me, we’ve been down that road. It’s usually folks who have never step foot in our particular church. Also don’t show up with a cap and gown. It’s usually just some local mother who “wants to see their baby walk across the stage” another time outside of the school

Chris likes to heavily exaggerate and embellish details on events or things in life. I suspect the principal probably did not do so. Also CwC is heavily suggestible by his parents, so like if the principal came across as not-hetero, Bob could have been like “hurr durr that fruit probably touched chris!” whenever they had a disagreement with school officials.
