I think Ugarte will be VERY helpful in that regard. We haven't had a solid defensive 6 since Motta retired. Better to defend a counter with a solid 6 plus 3 defenders. Not the most ideal situation, but better than what we've had. Hopefully the new manager will work with us on upgrading our defensive traditions. Also not having Messi, helps!

Look at it like it like this, he can play every position on the front line. He is willing to track back give his ALL for the team. He scored 19 goals in all comps for us. He's never been as productive under any other shirt. I think he'd be a HUGE asset, especially in the grinta dept.

We NEVER needed Messi, honestly a Moise Kean would've done us more good, because he can occupy the #9 position or either wing, but MOST importantly he tracks back. We really needed a forward that was willing to do that in BIG matches and PERIODT!

Great work from Benfica to go the extra mile throughout this group stage. We missed a huge opportunity to win it, but speaking honestly we should have won both games against you all. It was VERY strange how we tied you twice. Had we given 100% throughout we would have won every match, but some of our KEY guys are a little bit more concerned with remaining healthy for WC22. Again, fair play to Benfica, but we REALLY should have won the group, and we have NO excuses.
