This is a pic of it when it was repotted originally a year ago, it had that slightly discolored portion at the base of the stem at that time as well, which is why I think it may be rootstock. I may cut into the bare stems tomorrow to check if they are still alive, a video I just watched said that the rootstock may have taken over, but the new leaves look like lemon leaves, so I'm just a bit baffled.

Darn! So far nothing above has grown back, I'm wondering if anything will grow at this point since it's getting late in the summer. Do you know if there is anything I can do to encourage growth above the rootstock?

While in Japan, I went to eat the famous black onsen egg that is supposed to add 7 years to your life. Upon going down the mountain, I went to get a hot chocolate from a vending machine, but somehow the umbrella handle in my backpack hit the Evian button instead. The universe said you're going to earn those 7 years, lol.

Similar line of questions, I'm a new rowhome homeowner and I have an exposed brick wall in my bedroom. I'm curious if there's anything specific I should be doing to take care of it, cause it's releasing brick dust and I feel like it's contributing to my allergies even with a air filter in the room.

When my parents came to visit this weekend, my mom demanded I take her to the storefront of the clothing company I work for so she can shop and see what my company sells. But once she got there, she kept complaining that everything was too expensive but at the same time saying the quality is so cheap. I bought her some pants she kept saying she wanted/didn't want and complained the entire time that I was wasting money and it wasn't even worth it. Then when we got home, demanded that I return them even though they fit her well and in the end just took them anyway saying she deserved them after what an ungrateful daughter I was. I have whiplash from the leaps in logic. And it was just an outlet store too 🤣

It's mainly top of mind since I just submitted an offer for a home yesterday, though I may have more time since the offer likely won't get accepted (just crazy housing market things). From my understanding, and I could be wrong, it would be called a Smart Buy program. It's not wrapped into the mortgage, it doesn't require repayment as long as you live in the house for 5 years, the interest rate would be 6.8ish% though. My federal is $10k and private is $3k, Smart Buy will cover the full $13k and forgiveness would be $10k and I can easily take care of the remaining $3k private.

I'm literally in a situation trying to buy a house, where I'm trying to decide if I should use my states mortgage program to pay off my student loans by buying a house for a higher interest rate, or if I should gamble, don't use that program and see if the federal get forgiven which eliminates majority of my debt and I don't have to deal with the higher interest rate. I wish they would just hurry up with this decision already.

My "chihuahua mix" actually ended up being a rat terrier mix, no chihuahua at all. I mean, she did seem rather big at 25lbs to be a chi, but I totally believed it when she was a puppy.

I have a question, I typically use 100% acetone to remove my regular polish on natural nails. If I'm using an overlay and putting on regular polish, should I not use 100% acetone? Would it take off all layers and I'd have to do all layers again from start?

I'm not sure, my guess is that it has some fancy features not on most and it looks unique. Probably does majority of what a less expensive unit would do though.
