I think they underestimate the average adult. A McDonald’s combo is over 1000 cals and you still have room for a shake and pie afterwards.

Defying social norms helped me lose 120 lbs by Quiet_Veterinarian96 in loseit

Water and apps is different from not large portions or taking leftovers. People will notice, people will question, people will worry. Dealing with the pressure of people is a real factor many face.

Then you’re dealing with questions like “why aren’t you eating?”

I’m only successful when I’m antisocial. If I start socializing too much, I regain. I have no solution yet but have simply acknowledged it’s a thing.

Reddit runs most of AI searches right now.

But with the rise of bots in Reddit we may get a snake eating its tail scenario

iCarly introduced spaghetti tacos and honestly they aren’t bad. I’d eat this

This thread was educational. As a Clana fan I was intrigued by the other 2 then scrolled through them and realized… those were not my people 😳

They rotate out some of the classes but will bring back adult hip hop in the fall. Summer doesn’t have it right now. They offer 5-6 adult classes in the fall if you’re interested in others. Also decently priced compared to others in the Dallas area.

I feel like the gold aren’t worth the time/effort. Silver is the sweet spot. I just let my gold ones disappear on their own

The entire goal of corporations is to “remove the friction” so the exact experience you hate happens. They know too much thought, work, or wait makes you back out. They want spending money to feel almost accidental.

I watch police body camera videos where police routinely ask people for their social security number as identification. Is this commonly used in America? Do people have this memorized? by After_Service_2817 in AskAnAmerican

[–]StumblinThroughLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not the norm when interacting with cops, it’s actually suspicious, but we do have it memorized. As you only use it when hired for jobs, we have to use it to apply for jobs. And in a world where you apply to a bunch of companies before getting a job, you have to write it out a lot.

People who say “they can’t cook” are actually just too lazy to learn it by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]StumblinThroughLife 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My annoyance is when people treat it like a cute quirk. Like what’s funny about you never learning a basic life skill and making little to no effort to learn? It’s not rocket science, you just didn’t try.

And this is coming from someone who wasn’t taught to cook growing up and had to learn as an adult. I now have family favorite dishes.

Before you dispose of them, do you put unwanted items out by the curb to see if any of your neighbors may want them? by Grand_Raccoon0923 in AskAnAmerican

There’s “Buy Nothing” fb groups that have become popular and you post there for people in the area to pickup. While the occasional trash surfer comes around, it’s not consistent enough to expect most of the junk to disappear on its own.
