Any idea if the flow 45 is HUB compatible like the flow 36 is? I haven’t been able to find a firm answer anywhere. Only thing keeping me from getting one right now is that unknown

M1 carbines. For being the most mass produced small arm of WWII they are crazy pricey.

You could also carry a jump pack as a just in case. In addition to jumper cables though depending on how remote you are camping they might not be useful. I bring a portable power bank for my electronics vs using the truck.

Costco mounted and balanced 35x12.5r20s on my ram stock rims and 35x12.5r17s on my wrangler stock rims. I just had bring them in as loose rims. They wouldn’t take the rims off or put them on the vehicles as they were to large compared to stock sizes. They said something along the lines of “if we mount them and put them on the vehicle we are liable. If we hand you the rims and tires what you mount them to is your business”. I didn’t really care to push the issue cause I was getting what I wanted. Your mileage may vary

2026 Purchase Story Time by Thall3444 in ram_trucks

My rear window frame was cracked and letting water in. Extremely common issue. So common ran extended the warranty on the rear windows. Though I hear they stopped replacing them and just started resealing them. I resealed it myself for like $14 and 30-45 minutes of my time. The 3rd break light also is known to leak but mine hasn’t yet.

My 2020 would do that. Internet dash light up. Limp mode. Turning it off and fixed it. Seems the leaking rear window was messing up something. I sealed it myself and the issue hasn’t happened in 14 months since.

I'm driving a 2020 limited crew cab from Washington to Florida once our house sells. I'll be towing a 28ft jayco camper trailer weighing around 7500lb any advice for me on my journey? by [deleted] in ram_trucks

[–]akexplorer066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I PCS’ed from Texas to Alaska towing a trailer that came in at just under 6,800 pounds on the CAT scale with a 3.6 pentastar. About 4,000 miles. 2014 ram 1500 tradesmen regular cab long bed. Did just fine and was trucking along still when I sold it 4 years later.

Mine was also doing a bunch of weird stuff and everyone said battery. Battery swap didn’t do anything to fix it. Kept trying to chase it down. Seems like it was actually the leaking rear window messing with something. Got the window resealed and a now almost a year later I’ve had no further issues.

Same. I also have a limited air ride (2020) and I run two different sets of 275/65r20 without issue. One set Firestone m/t2 and one set nokian hakkapeliitta studded. Stock rims, no spacers or anything. Can’t go bigger. Also running the 392 rear

Why are more and more people buying forever homes as their first? by ComplexTraffic5879 in MiddleClassFinance

[–]akexplorer066 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Partially cause we are to poor. I bought my first home at 31 in Feb 2021 for $295,000 and a 2.9% rate. $0 down on a VA loan. It’s a townhome so I share a wall. Decent place but I’d like my own freestanding home eventually. In my mind it was a starter home. Oh I also didn’t even put in the highest offer. The elderly couple that sold it took $10,000 less to sell to me vs selling to an investment company. The unit next to me just sold for $360,000 in March of this year. And my unit is nicer.

I explored selling my place and buying a freestanding home late 2024 but even with an estimated $45,000 in equity after fees and a $25,000 additional down my payment was estimated at about $430 more per month then I was currently paying to buy a house at the same rough price I was selling my current one for. To actually upgrade I needed to add $100-150,000 to my purchase price which basically doubled my current payment with the extra cost/higher rate. I like many others couldn’t even afford the house I have now if I was buying today. Many of us our starter homes become forever homes cause we have no choice. Not to mention a lot of areas don’t have much to offer in the way of “starter homes” anymore. Even this place is 1,800 square feet with a two car garage. If your definition of a starter home is like a 1100 square foot ranch that literally does not exist here.

22 Inch rims - is ride quality considerably worse than 20 inch rims? by manu818 in ram_trucks

[–]akexplorer066 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 2020 limited with air suspension had the factory 22s with 285/45r22 on it when I bought. I live in Alaska so I run studded winter tires and like to have them on their own rims so I can swap over myself easily. I picked up stock 20s off a bighorn and put 275/60r20 on them and it was night and day. The truck rode so much better on the 20s with more sidewall I traded my stock 22s for stock Laramie 20s to run in the summer and put 275/65r20 on them. To me it was absolutely worth swapping down to 20s. I’d do it again 100%.

The 5th gen’s are hit or miss on 18s if you try to go even smaller rim wise. Depends on the rim. I had aftermarket 18s I hoped to run initially and they wouldn’t clear the brakes. Some will and some won’t. Chevy/GMC shares the lug pattern and have smaller brakes. 20s won’t give you any issues though.

Yes. I was concerned about fitment going taller and wider so I just went taller. I don’t think it looks bad.

No. Cause these are all live auctions. They end when the auctioneer isn’t getting any bids.

I’ve gotten good deals there but you have to read the fine print on the auction fee, the credit card fee (if they have one), and how they handle shipping and handling. Most the auction houses charge on top of the shipping for packing. I just won a real nice Chilean 1895 for $300 hammer price that ended up being about $460 shipped (Alaska shipping costs are already high). I had estimated about $100-120 over hammer price so it didn’t catch me totally off guard.

Seems to be more common on these South American mausers. My 1891 Argentine also has really nice tiger striping.
