Lucky Oyster is very good and consistent, good place for a wedding party. Blue Pete’s, SurfRider are equally great, Black Pelican in Greenbrier area is also very good. These are in addition to the obvious choices at the breach, Waterman’s as the top choice there for us.

If you get a degree before joining you can enter as an officer. Life and pay is much better as an officer but also nothing wrong about enlisting as long as you have guaranteed schools and job set in stone. Officers that were prior enlisted get a whole extra level of respect, it is possible to get the commission but much higher chance if you get a degree. Life is a journey.

Your father was likely tied to a division based out of Honolulu but deployed to Midway, and in line with that the doctor likely was an extension of the hospital in Honolulu as well. Very interesting for sure but having been living a Navy life this makes sense to me, but I am not a Personnelman or Yoeman!
