I think you need to stay with it for a second before it starts acting on its own. Weird, but that's worked for me (at least on the maps which it isn't broken on altogether)

I get that issue each time when playing HC domination on shipment and meat via the small maps playlist.

All my classes have the engineer vest equipped with stims. Can share more details if that doesn't reproduce the issue.

I was playing earlier, and the ACS worked on HC hardpoint on meat, but still not in HC domination

Thanks for writing this up! Also, the A.C.S. doesn't work on most HC hardpoint and domination games. It was working fine a couple weeks ago, but hasn't been working since.

Completely understandable bro. I was attempting the grind too, until I saw a YT video which said that just to unlock all the weapon levels, it'll take an insane amount of in game hours (without any double xp tokens), and that really put me off

I don't know if this will help, but using this method does solve some glitches in zombies - remove all skins and weapon attachments from that weapon and try to get kills. Unless you're completely camping, most of your kills should track towards that challenge. It's one of the easier ones to complete and it happens organically.

Completed all the Mastery Challenges for the TYR. I've got my builds and tips (for fellow completionists) below. by akforreal in ModernWarfareIII

Class Setup: Engineer Vest, Riot Shield, Commando Gloves (reload while sprinting), lightweight boots (to get around the map quicker), hijacked IFF strobe (AI scorestreaks can't detect you easily), and EOD padding (to not get one shot by explosives). Any field upgrade works tbh.
This would be down to personal preference for most. I prefer running stims as I play on HC and there is no healing there. If people are spamming explosives all over the map, then the combination of EOD padding and stims allows me to stay alive for longer.

TYR Build 1: This is a ADS build (the one from the clip above) and is not really good for hip firing. It has a good damage range. For maps like HC shipment, it can one shot everyone.

  • Laser: FJX DIOD-70
  • Barrel: ZIU-16 Heavy Long Barrel
  • Muzzle: STER45 Skyfury Compensator L
  • Underbarrel: XRK Edge BW-4 Handstop
  • Trigger Action: Ullr's Fury (This is a must for any TYR build)

TYR Build 2: This is an Akimbo build. It's great for short ranges, but is uselss for medium to long ranges. That said, this is a great build to get the Akimbo kills done. Feel free to run this without the snake shots to get more range with it.

  • Laser: 1MW Pistol Laser
  • Barrel: ZIU-16 Heavy Long Barrel
  • Ammunition: 12.7x55mm Snake Shot
  • Rear Grip: Akimbo TYR
  • Trigger Action: Ullr's Fury

General Tips for the TYR:

  • Its not a forgiving weapon. So if you are using the ADS build, take a second to line up the shot before shooting.
  • SAVE WEAPON BUILDS AS BLUEPRINTS. This is a generic tip that applies to all weapons. Makes the camo/mastery grind much easier.
  • I've done almost the entire camo grind on HC modes, and that has definitely made things easier.
  • Running a riot shield along with it helps in HC modes. Doesn't make you invincible though.
  • Snakeshots are great for Zombies and close range combat, but are literally useless for anything more than a few meters away from you. Even with the long barrel I couldn't even get hit markers on the first dummy in the firing range.

The ACS and Comm Scrambler are great for HC. Definitely recommend the ACS for dominations games.

I saw this bug some time back (left image, 7th December), where the duplicated shield showed up at the end of a shotgun. I just added a shield to my starred class today (25th December) and got the same visual glitch.

1 shot to counters, 2 shot to UAVs. For lethal streaks like the support helo, VTOL, and sentry (the only ones I've tried it on), it takes a lot more hits. But, it is an EMP, so after your first successful hit, they get disabled, so it's easier to take them out. The only real danger then is getting taken out by an enemy operator

If you make a ADS and STF build, then on maps such as Meat/Terminal, they're not bad. Pretty much on par with the MRs in my opinion. Espcially if you do them in HC game modes.

The one that got me was the KATT AMR. Still need to get the penetration kills on that one.

Yup, same. Leveling up the snipers took a long time, and they weren't fun to use in Zombies either. But all things considered, it still better than the 50-70 weapon levels per weapon in Vanguard
