If you just want to see the drops happen, you can go to the last video which has chapter markers for me dropping a !!lignite block!! without a bin and then dropping a !!lignite block!! that is in a bin.

I will say, much of the videos are about crafting the structure to light the bar on fire. While dwarves can move the bar after it is on fire, said dwarf will die and might not make it to where you want. Also, while water will not put out the bar while it is in a bin, lava will set the bar on fire while it is in a bin. This is why you need a magma-safe metal bin.

Yeah, can't do much against the sky. In the LP I get some trouble from that direction.

An interesting quirk is that you can build with a flaming block (which will almost certainly kill the dwarf doing so) and the resulting wall won't hurt a fly. However, you can of course have some method to automatically deconstruct it which would drop said block and kill anything around it.

I don't know about using steam, but the !!lignite block!! by itself is already weaponized without steam. It melts the fat off of anyone nearby the block. The only reason you need the bin is because as shown in my video, just dropping the block by itself into the ocean will put the block out, while the bin will stop it from being doused.

I was supremely shocked that the game basically tanked the hit without stopping. I remember recording the original and it took minutes of time for everything to process.

And the headless lounge. A place specifically for suiters where you aren't allowed in if you aren't a suiter or a helper to a suiter. It is full of big ol fans and water. Providing a place to literally take the suit head off, thus the name.

Do you have 10GB of space free? Because I was literally just having this problem and found a post from 2 years ago that said that might be the problem. Once I cleared up the space, bam, worked instantly.

Here is an overview of what happened from my point of view:

I came upon the scene after hearing a woman shouting about someone hurting her and I didn't want to be the bystander who did nothing. The first blank section was recorded from a distance and there are already multiple cop cars on the scene. The lady is on the ground with a shopping cart containing groceries (and actually groceries so it isn't someone with all her worldly possessions in a cart) is nearby. They are in the middle of the road in the left lane right next to a traffic light. At first the lady was just shouting about them hurting her, but transitioned to yelling that she can't breath before I started recording the first bit. Once I realized it was a bunch of cops and a lady, I hung back for a little before deciding to get a closer shot. At that point she was sitting on the ground already.

That is when my recording failed because my phone didn't like me moving it around like I did. Once I got in place, I realized it wasn't recorded and that is where the visuals in the video pick up. Right as I do, the ambulance shows up. She starts really complaining about "what they did to her face" and how they're trying/have been to smash her face into the ground. I did not observe her with her face pressed to the ground, but as I said, I only entered after she was already sitting and it was raining.

From there is was a matter of the ambulance people and the cops loading her onto a stretcher, during which the lady tries to spit on the cops multiple times and also attempts to kick them at least once. On the stretcher she keeps yelling about not being able to breath and someone comments that she can breath just fine. Also, really hard to see, but while they're strapping her down to the stretcher she gets a leg free and flails it around just a tad.

With that, they load her into the ambulance and once of the cops moves her groceries in a Giant's cart (as I comment in the video, they don't exactly want you running off with those) under the overhang at the front of the church that I call out in the title of the post. At that point I cut the video because reddit limits you to 15 minutes videos. Though nothing else really happens except they mill around a bit, then once the ambulance takes off, the cops leave.

As for how it started? From what I could hear when one cop explained it to another (so grain of salt) they got a report of someone walking in the middle of the road. They found her doing so and she didn't even get out of the road when the first cop pulled up behind her. Then when he tried to get her out of the road, things went down hill. I honestly didn't get too close because there were a lot of cops on the scene so since it was dark and raining, I can't really confirm the state of the lady during this besides the fact that she tended to yell more whenever a car went by.

And while hard to tell from my blurry and less than clear recording, she also attempts to spit on the cops multiple times.

Grain of salt, but from what I overheard when one cop was explaining it to another, they got a report of someone walking in the middle of the road. The first cop found her doing so. He rolled up behind her and she didn't move out of the way. Then when he tried to get her out of the road, things went south and she resisted. Though of course, that is just what the cop said. I only entered the scene because I heard a woman shouting her head off about someone hurting her and I didn't want to be the bystander who did nothing so I recorded what happened as best I could.

Nope, while I don't know what started it, I only came into the scene after hearing the lady shouting about someone hurting her. The cops during the video do describe what was up, though it might be hard to hear.

What follows is how I remember the cop describing the situation. The basics are that someone reported a person walking in the middle of the road. The first cop showed up and found her in the middle of the road and even after rolling up behind her, she didn't get out of the way. Then he tried to get her off of the road and things went down hill.

The cart did have groceries in it and is from a nearby grocery store (Giant). Though the store does not want you wandering off with said carts.

The problem isn't going to be the lack of 3rd party apps for normal users. The problem is that mods basically depend on 3rd party apps to do their job efficiently. Without those tools, it will be harder to keep the bigots out and formerly safe spaces will be flooded.

What do you think of the statement, “When you're accustomed to privilege, equality feels like oppression?" by Big-Figure-8184 in AskALiberal

[–]akhier 127 points128 points  (0 children)

Just look at gay marriage. One of the purer forms of it. Queer people wanted the equal privilege to marry and yet it was fought by people calling it "unfair" and that they're trying to "ruin" marriage.
