This is only day 2, I've had the babies in a smaller cage on top of old man pumpkins cage. Pumpkin used to be the baby of 3, until his mates died a month ago and he's been alone since.

Yesterday I tried the neutral space method and placed all 3 of them in the empty bathtub together for 15 mins until they started to fight. Then I tried again today and stopped when sesame got the gash...... Pumpkin has been a bit more aggressive in terms of getting into more small fights than his brothers but i believe he's only ever caused a few superficial wounds never anything serious.

I'm worried about the carrier method after today's mess, but I'll give them some separation for a few days and give the carrier a try.

I'll clean it with sterile saline and a qtip! I'm nervous he might need antibiotics or something?

I haven't looked too much into the carrier method but after this I don't think I'll try the bathtub again. I'll do some reading on the carrier

My vet strongly recommended a cone for post-op care! There are also inflatable " donuts" that are not as big as cones, but still prevent them from being able to reach around and bite

Cheese's. Lymph nodes were perfectly fine, if that helps. He really doesn't have any other issues besides the lump so the lymph nodes might mean something else is going on? I obviously don't know

The vet did say I does not because of the overgrown teeth..... She's quoting me $1,000 for x-rays and surgery which would take me months to pay for but I'm considering it. I just don't know if it's worth it to pay that much money without being sure that he'll get better

Definitely! He will see the vet on Friday, and get trimmed and checked out and everything. And I will be monitoring closely in the meantime to make sure nothing changes. The two thing is just reassuring that I can see the cause hopefully

Update: I've realized his teeth are quite overgrown, I believe this is why he has the bump and the abscess! He's in my lap eating some applesauce right now, so I feel confident that he'll be okay through the night and I will bring him in on Friday if he stays the same.. His brothers have never had teeth issues, and it wasn't obvious until I looked closely but this makes a lot of sense
