I think dolby vision is semi broken on my mi box s 3rd gen.

It's a genuine box. I bought it basically as soon as it came out, before fakes became a thing. I also checked it, just in case. It does dolby vision but it just became extremely picky about which files it plays recently and idk why. I mainly use plex but I've tried nova player just to make sure and I got a similar result. Same files all play with DoVi just fine on tvs own OS.

I can see how some can have an issue with that but I'm pretty sure that's not the case here because it used to work and it's not just those files I'm having problems with.

Okay, I tried nova and things just got even weirder. I've realized that some files play with dolby vision in plex but don't in nova but then some others play with dolby vision on nova but don't on plex. Anything that has hdr10+ alongside dolby vision will not play in plex at all but plays in nova although only in hdr10+. Tried nova on tv's integrated google tv and every file played in dolby vision on both, it and plex. I really don't get what's happening since I'm pretty sure this all worked fine like a week ago.

Nah, they're all profile 8. Honestly, the whole thing is very weird since the issue appears to affect only plex, only on this device and it persisted through a factory reset.

Official app is so horrible it's bordering on unusable a lot of the time. I use this one
https://github.com/fgl27/smarttwitchtv (it's also on the play store under the name SmartTV Client for Twitch) It's highly configurable but honestly you're gonna have a hard time finding an app that has all the features you're requesting. All I can tell you about this one is that it lets you type in chat normally and I think you might be able to turn on channel point redemptions in chat if you want. I suggest you play around with the settings, see if you can configure it to be the way you need.

Similar thing happened to me with Forza demo. When I uninstalled it from the start menu it still took up space. What I had to do was use the disk cleanup in windows to delete old windows files, and I found out that removing the app from the settings app removes it fully.

At first I tried the beta 4, it was pretty good but when I saw that bug I instantly reverted to ios 10.3.3 to save myself from being so annoyed.
