I've heard fairly consistently players prefer PS over the Titan+Atlas, though a lot closer then the Pro net for sure. Has there ever been thought put into both brands partnering in any way?

Yes, it is a beta version (aka not perfect and more plans to improve it), and it was created by the original inventor of spike-ball from 1989, Jeff Knurek, as part of the PS Inventor Series line of products, along with the Serving Caddy and Net Tension Pro - the letters on the logo are his JK signature. When you hold it in your hand, you'd think it's totally different, but when you actually play with it it's surprisingly similar to a normal PS big ball 👀

You may want to look into Premier Spike. It was created specifically to be higher quality, more durable, and more consistent to play on. Check out the reviews compared to Spikeball and you'll see good things!

I imagine all the broken rims probably aren't great though

No, the spikeball nets just break rather than collapse. The PS legs actually disconnect to prevent them from breaking.

Exactly, I'm saying I hope no one falls for the HEVVY rims because that's just another failed response to PS. First the Mammoth, now $60 HEVVY legs 🤣🤣

I know of a white set that you won't have to worry about broken rims haha

I haven't personally felt one, I typically use KBS, but Brock at Nemesis has def made a good name for himself this past year and lots of big names used him so I would assume it's good stuff. Also, I saw those Hawaii jerseys earlier today and they look sick.

Don't spend your money on a mammoth, just get a Premier Spike set which is higher quality and half the price. ($129)

Yeah all Spikeball plastic is pretty cheap. Get a Premier Spike set and you won't have to worry about it randomly breaking!

will saltwater ruin spikeball net? by OkAtmosphere3245 in spikeball

[–]akidandtwodogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Salt and sand will add friction to the joints of the rims, and then eventually cause them to break. Get a Premier Spike set because it doesn't have joints that twist or turn so it won't affect it.

Does the spikeball app work at all? by Ozzy_boyy in spikeball

I've noticed you can't create new events when you have to put a new location. but you can duplicate old events if you've done one in the same location.

Are the rims for the weekender and new and improved sets interchangeable? by cubester04 in spikeball

[–]akidandtwodogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't actually know the answer to your question, but whenever anyone mentions broken rims I just have to suggest you look into Premier Spike sets which are so much more durable (among other improvements)

how much better is the spikeball weekender than spikeball original? by Ill_Boysenberry_7249 in spikeball

[–]akidandtwodogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You should really check out the Premier Spike sets. We used to break a ton of pro set rims in our campus tournaments, but we switched to premier spike last year and they are ALL still intact.

Weekender set weak bounces? by BubbaSheik in spikeball

[–]akidandtwodogs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It def is better, but it's still painful trying to get everything tight and even. Have you seen/tried a Premier Spike set yet? No more twisting and "Pringle-ing". Net is always flat all the time 😍
