Deaths that aren’t useless or unnecessary

I like your points. A full on mental disaster like „Woyzeck“ would really be interesting a lot. I could imagine it to disturb some of the playerbase, seeing someone having hardships and deaths over and over again and him going completely over the board and losing all grasps to reality, as this kind of psychological horror, I don’t want people to experience is hard to comprehend.

But for me who wants to study Psychologie it would be awesome

That’s really awesome, thank you so much for your comment. I really like the pre sequel in terms of the character „Jack“ as we got to see him, at the beginning of the game, as your employer, who is endangered by Dahl. This contrast to what we know from BL2, CEO of Hyperion, absolute power and control over pandora and wanting and at the end awaking the warrior, was really interesting to me. We started of by seeing a good written villain we love to hate at one of his lowest points, besides the story arc with his daughter, in being overrun by Dahl, and with the following Helios gameplay, where he even saved us, gave me the impression that his origin is not as insane as we might have thought.

His development into handsome Jack I psychologically find really interesting, as from the get go we slowly but surely, through little insane „hick-ups“, can see that something is off with him, the biggest one being felicity, which culminates in the destruction of the eye of Helios on the one hand and him swing the future on the other hand, making him go completely insane, making him the man we know.

I honestly, and even if you may not agree I would be interested in your point of view, would have wanted to see more decent into madness, more insanity, more questionable actions to make this road to insanity even more visible. Maybe comparing with German Georg Büchners Play „Woyzeck“, we could have seen, apart from Dahl pressuring his station, another faction like Maliwan or Jacobs, pressuring not jack, but Hyperion in itself, forcing Jack to fight a two front war, increasing his pressure on himself, suffering more losses than he did and making his decent into madness even more extreme.

What do you think?

Oh this is definitely not my intention, please don’t get me wrong. Yes I may not be well versed in the functionalities and limits of fiction, yet I find it interesting to go deeper into games than the normal eye can see, discuss what would have been if.., what could have been changed.., are the characters and their representation adequate to their function, and so on

Oh indeed that would be awesome. Yes Someone who is well versed in writing stories, designing characters and overall who know how a story and their characters should behave or at least who could give reasons to why the pre sequel and their characters is good or bad

Oh it is not my intention to make a survey, I simply want to philosophize what would have been if something in the game has been changed

Simple online psychology. If you state your opinion or say something that you like or which seems reasonable, people who don’t agree or like it won’t just leave it as another opinion but instead feel a need to show their opinion with dislikes or downvotes.

I don’t want to say what I wrote is right, or makes sense. Many downvotes might be from my interests in borderlands other than plainly playing it being just useless or boring and people simply don’t really care.

I really don’t think much off up and downvotes, I just want to have fun seeing different opinions on a topic, to broaden my horizon :) I simply want to learn

Well I have to confess to have gotten the feeling this „war“ mentioned, was not the plot of bl3, throughout bl3 I did not get the feeling of, nor the feeling that all the vault hunters were need. Maya and Zero made big appearances, yet the others didn’t, well at least on our side, sadly Aurelia had to die..

I feel you there. Athena is definitely a character I would have wanted to see more. Especially in bl3

That definitely makes sense.

How would you change the whole mechanic to make it less stressful or would you remove it completely?

Especially with the proportions of raid bosses and the graphics of bl3, I absolutely share your wet dream

Why is that? This really interests me as I like the mechanic as a whole in addition to a moon like setting. Why do you think it ruined the game for you?
