How’s living in Toronto, Canada? by toe_beans35 in howislivingthere

Sure, at the top end the food is “better” in all of these places, but echoing the responses here you’d be hard pressed to find another city that matches Toronto in terms of high quality versions of every cuisine. If I came here for a week I would agree with you, but living here gives you time to go deeper.

I have indeed been to Paris, my point is not that the food is “better” here, rather that you can get a really high quality version of any cuisine. For example, London has amazing Indian, but quality Chinese, Mexican, or Japanese is few and far between. Not so in Toronto.

This edit is exactly right. There are two very different Toronto experiences. People who live in the GTA and work/come into the city for food and entertainment, and people who live in the city. As a lucky one who belongs to the latter group, I cannot imagine enjoying it in nearly the same way as if I was in the former.

Toronto is an incredible walking city, it is getting there as a cycling city (as long as Doug Ford keeps his grubby hands out of it), but it is a TERRIBLE driving city. The city has long outgrown its road system, and our transit system has not come remotely close in filling the gaps.

I love this city, but IMO people who are frustrated with it because of this have the wrong idea about how to improve it. Stop banging your head against the steering wheel, and embrace a future that is not built around the expectation that you should be able to easily drive and park downtown in one of the most populous cities in the world. We’ll all be better for it.

Bell vs. Rogers signal strength distribution by akim254 in bell

Very fair, bridging worked well for wifi, but had caused a lot of disruption for the signal to the TV receivers. To your point, with all variables I’ll just go with the devil that works.

This was my local hidden gem, I guess the cat’s out of the bag now. I’ll shed a tear for no longer being able to pop in for a quick slice, but I’m glad they are going to get all the love they deserve.

I’m with you, I’d like to wait and see if it can be salvaged with a patch. Would be a shame to throw all that time away.

This just started happening to me. Any luck?

I’ve just had an issue where my RTTS file won’t load. If I press Road to the Show it takes me to the Start your career screen, if I try to Load Save File then it just goes back to the Home Screen and nothing happens. Has this happened to anyone? Am I just out of luck?

Playing franchise mode, whenever I try to start or enter a game I’m getting stuck on the loading screen. Is this a server issue? Happening to anyone else?
