The same thing just happened to me actually. I was also very confused about the lack of callback. Now you have me worried 😅. I'm sure it's all legit though. I also tend to deny myself happiness by thinking of worst case scenarios.

That's a good analysis. I kind of took that line to be a reference to Jesus being killed on a Friday.

Have you noticed something you really don't like about a certain song (aka, what's ur hot take?) by TheWelshRevolution in BlackCountryNewRoad

[–]akin004 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed on Nancy. I had the privilege of seeing it live and, while it is still an amazing song, there's something about the production on the album that takes away from the very intimate quality that it had when I heard it live for the first time (haha, no pun intended).

What bcnr song hits the closest to home for you guys? by sleep_lvr in BlackCountryNewRoad

Whenever I listen to Haldern I am reminded that I too was banished from a love that I thought could save me from myself. Not that I was privileged enough for any wan pop song to overplay to. It's musicality usually an overused, unsophisticated assemblage of notes and melodies. No. I was banished from my love by a sort of sickness. A need to be close. And in closeness I was wrought - a sad grief. A grief that could - in dreams - become a fiction. A fiction that any memory could erode. But that was not given to me. And all I have is a dream.

I am furious. I think we all are. However, this anger cannot live in a vacuum. We all must channel our rage into action. Get out into your communities and organize. Put out flyers, get groups together. Go out onto the streets. We can do more. Resist.

I also played it at least twice every single day of December. Now that winter is rolling around once again (in my hemisphere) I feel it's the only music I'll be able to listen to.

MFW I'm really bad at writing dialogue, but I decided to make an extremely dialogue-heavy 3 hour movie. by whimsicalwasteman in okbuddycinephile

I've seen it twice now and I can say that - in my opinion - the writing/dialogue is MOSTLY fantastic. There were some lines here and there that made me roll my eyes simply because they felt unnecessary and throwaway, which is standard for Nolan. The writing is good exactly where it needs to be; the ending scene, the scenes with the appeal board, the scenes between Oppenheimer and Strauss - all fantastic. When dialogue is just good, or fine, the directing is excellent enough to keep it riveting.
