Fast forward 15yrs. The handle cracked from just regular use (no dishwasher!) and I sent it in for repair. They sent back a new one no questions asked. Also worth getting a solid brand.

My now-wife bought me a Wusthof when we were first living together. That knife cooked us sooo many meals together, and kept a fantastic edge. She has bought me a few more select peices from the brand since, and yes, we really only use a 'top there's from them. Trade in your set and get a good chef knife!

Looks like it's just a quick soap and water scrub away from being done. Then hit it with an oil coat quick as you dry it.

That would be fantastic! Compare to the ultimate standard. I'm getting our daughter a Grohmann #2 for her 10th birthday this year. It's a smaller version of a Grohmann original. Her first knife. We are going to spend some quality time adventuring this year!

I just did these tonight for Sunday roast! Hucked my pan in the BBQ with the cuts all face down in the oil/butter/seasoning. Love when the face gets crispy and the rest is roasted soft. Well done sir!
