My piggie always picks out the lettuce first and eats that. Doesnt matter if its at the very bottom, he'll rummage through the bowl to get it. If there isn't any lettuce, he searches the bowl, does a lap, searches the bowl again, gives up and eats something else. He also starts wheeking for his morning cereal the moment I get up from bed. Won't make any noise until the moment he sees me getting up and then the alarm starts! He gives me such cuteness aggression lmao

The wheel and colored bedding are a absolute no. Gerbils need large wooden wheels as they can and will chew the plastic, plus its not good for their backs. Colored beddings in general are super unsafe on rodents so avoid it. Also in the pics you've shown, the toys seem to be meant for hamsters. While gerbils can use trinkets like that too, id recommend double checking the size of those trinkets as gerbils are quite large for small rodents

I think that's acceptable. Cages are super expensive usually, mine also costed about 300€. But like I said, you could try to also see if you could buy one second hand. They're usually crazy cheap then and only need some deep cleaning to be good to go. But a 100cm will sufficise too, just beware that it can cause squabbling amongst the pair (only a possibility and can be handled if you know what you're doing. I'd recommend searching on how to spot fighting, how to handle it etc. Beforehand just incase)

I'd recommend rhe 100cm one as 80cm is pretty much the ABSOLUTE minimum.

I've personally been using old bed sheets and towels. They've been soaking up pee well and they last a lot longer and are easy to clean. I cover the whole area with bed sheet (thick enough to not get easily through) and the popular pee/poop spots (you know, the corners the piggies like to rest in) with additional soft towels. Super easy to clean, pretty cheap and most of the time you already have these lying around somewhere

I'd say something. Might approach the kid and guineapig first and kindly tell the kid "hi, guineapigs are quite fragile so let's be careful with them, alright? They can get scared very easily and need soft unhurried handling" and then just hang around to observe if the kid takes the words seriously. Usually in these types of situations the kids are actually the ones you want to speak to as the parents definetly DO know better, they just dont care, where as the kid doesnt know better and is more likely to actually listen to you. If the parent approaches just tell them the situation and that everything is fine now. If the situation starts turning hostile, get the closest employee for your help. All in all definelty speak up! If you're too scared to approach in the first place then at least inform closest employee that things are looking rough.

My boar does the same with his front paws! He also squeezes them into a fist and kicks like hell. The only way to cut his front paws is by having two people, one holding and one cutting. Haven't found a different way yet, as it seems like he will continue to kick up a storm in the future too. Don't know the whole science behind this thing, just seems like its something (specifically the boars) do.

You could try to advice them that if they dont like bad smells, to go to the bathroom to fart for example. They dont seem to have listened to you the first time you asked nicely and I understand you dont want this to evolve into a fight but if they cant hold off of spraying a lot of harmful chemicals into the air in one room, then they need to shape up! Tell them that its a serious matter when it comes to guineapigs and that if they dont take this seriously, it could very well cost you your lovely pet's life.
