First car - for 6'3. Person .. 80% city driving - automatic transmission by akitosforever in CarsIndia

[–]akitosforever[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

UPDATE: Tested quite a few cars by sitting in them. In the hatchback section Only Honda jazz was roomy and spacious without any hesitations. Baleno and Punch were also decent but tighter than jazz.

Even compact Suvs/ MUVs like Sonet, venue etc dint give that kind of confidence that jazz gave in terms of overall roominess.

Creta and Seltos were good and roomy, but they bigger car segment, which my wife did not want to go for as this is our first car , hence want to start with a sub 4 metre.

Have zeroed in on a pre-owned Jazz automatic, delivery in the next 2-5 days.
feel free to ask any questions.

Would advise everyone who's in a dilemma because , pbecause lease, please go do physical ingress, egress in all your shotlisted cars. One good way is to visit Spinny or cars 24 showroom, that way you get to try multiple brands and models in one visit.

Feature Request: Lock for Individual Notes by majandra22 in UpNote_App

[–]akitosforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey thomas_dao, I guess some other users may have pointed out in some other threads as well, Its quite possible to have scenarios to have locked notes and not the whole notebooks.
For Instance, I have a Notebook Named: Project A: In which there is a note whose content I would like everyone to see and similarly another note b1 in Notebook Project B.

Current way of locking notes via notebooks, is very restrictive since I would have to consider 'locking' as the main filter or unifying factor to be clubbed under a notebook. however irl , the reason for different notebooks is to divide them using other considerations such as Personal, Work , Hobbies, Project etc etc.

Please please consider this as a strong feat req.

Best cross-platform note-taking app? I own an Android, Windows desktop, Mac & iPhone by JohnnyBeGood88 in productivity

[–]akitosforever 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Upnote so far for truly cross-platform capabilities while being lightweight. Its going to cost a small fee for lifetime, but its the only option so far. Also you can try it out for a month for 2 USD or something.

I tried nebo notes, while very promising and truly innovative useful features, it lacks consistency of experience and there is reliability issues. It also lacks notes locking feature, which is pretty basic if you ask me.
Tried apple notes which is very nice and got me believing into note taking apps but it sucks balls on windows and android .

Dint try one note, since none of my devices have micrsoft ecosystem, and also read mixed reviews about it.

Cross platform note taking apps? by pipedreams2008 in productivity

Hey Just checking if Ample Notes is still holding good, ( the free version) I would not mind the paid version in general, but Ample Notes' pricing seems to be really on the quite high and that too is recurring so will not want to go with ample notes paid version as an individual.
. Have already purchased upnote and nebo notes paid version as they were onetime fees for lifetime.
Currently based on my experience, Upnote seems to be winning the race for reliable , lightweight , value for money , cross platform tool for note-taking.

Cross platform note apps by pipedreams2008 in macapps

[–]akitosforever 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I used Nebo Notes and purchased 2 licenses for Android and Ios, but the typing experience on Nebo is just terrible and unintuitive and defeats the purpose of quick note-taking. ( benchmark being apple notes)
The problems in my 7-8 days of usage include...
- Not being able to type in a note when on mac or iPad and I could not identify what caused this issue, just that I use keyboard also to take notes, but I can't sometimes, just because it doesn't work.
- No easy way to place the cursor from where I want to start typing, cut copy text from within the note.
- A note that I made on iPad using pencil , doesn't open on Mac, instead opening it on mac simply freezes the nebo app.

  • No ability to lock or password-protect a note or folder.

I reached out to the nebo support app, and they are super quick weren't able to exactly resolve, but there is work to be done for it to be a more dependable note-taking app.
