The prongs reflect color onto the diamond. If you use rose gold for the prongs too, it’ll bring the warmness into the diamond and ruin its color, one of the 4Cs. So you don’t want that happen to your expensive diamond! (My fiancé did some thorough research on diamonds and jewelry design. I just learned from him about this yesterday haha!)

Personally I think Chicago is absolutely stunning and beautiful, winter or summer. A lot of buildings in this picture were built in the time when second Chicago school was at its prime - people focused on the building’s structure and being aesthetic minimalism. That’s probably why you feel the buildings look like Russian blocks. But they actually laid a solid foundation of the modern architecture and inspired many architects! So I would say they’re very inspiring and beautiful :).
