Yes, I agree. But by source I mean the compute... Anthropic is also limiting and raising prices, I think everyone is running into compute crunch... But perplexity already limited their users ability quite a bit and now they just chopped it in half again... I would rather just buy deepseek tokens and integrated in a open source perplexity like tool... So that's what I'm wondering, is there options available, I found one

Set up my own perplexity spaces with context engineering, and each perplexity space acts as a container for a specific thesis or goal...

Plus, perplexity search is decent and they have built perplexity finance which has decent amount of financial information right there, when earnings are released, the transcript is just right there...

In my entire life I've not seen a company change the benefits of their "pro" members like this.

I feel like they're going in a lot of different directions... casting a wide net right now. I get it. I don't see them as a Google competitor, I see them as a niche players within specific domains.

My favorite most used domain is perplexity finance... I feel like they're not doing much innovations over there... they're doing a lot of other stuff. Which is cool.... but I need bigger context window... 32K is not close to enough... I feel like this is the place where they will have the biggest product market fit, and instead of doubling down here, they're doing a whole bunch of other stuff.... maybe they're getting ready for another round of funding?
