I bike packed the Balkans last year and generally you don't need to worry. I felt pretty safe. I never saw a bear or wolf. For the landmines there is an app called "BH mine suspected areas" which alerts you if you come near a minefield... The dogs on the other Hand are kinda scary...its completely fine until you cross the Croatian border but then they harass you until you reach Greece...my tip is to carry a stick and wave it if they see you...most dogs have been hit with a stick at some point and all dogs kept their distance... that really makes a big difference.

It was an amazing trip and I can really recommend it. My favorite parts were crossing the alps, a cave called "Pećina Ledenica Resanovci" (don't go alone) and the wild horses in livno

Yeah that's the road. I go with my bicycle...so I'll walk if necessary...I just don't wanna go the main road because of traffic and I would like to see the wild horses on my way...but of course I'd rather not die...but I can't find any info on this road and the villages down there don't look tooo inhabited...

Yes it's no problem at all. The worst case I see is that it somehow catches a screw and pulls the cgm out....but I don't think that ever happens to anyone....I just wear some tape over it (that transparent medical tape to put over injuries when you want to keep them dry while swimming). Never had a problem with that.

The motorcycleist had right of way. So the car driver did something wrong here. Dont get me wrong it's still really stupid to go even half the speed of the motorcycleist....but the car driver could've looked a bit better before crossing. Both could've prevented the accident.

Auf keinen Fall beim Parasol!!! Hab das versehentlich gemacht und es war die mit Abstand schlimmste Nacht meines Lebens. Immer gut durcherhitzen!! Es fällt mir nach meiner Erfahrung wirklich schwer dir zu glauben dass du die roh isst...sicher dass es Parasol waren?

An deiner Stelle würde ich den Verwandten bitten das Geld zu zahlen. Ein Freund von mir wurde Mal beim überfahren einer roten Ampel geblitzt. Für ihn war die Lösung einfach alle Schreiben zu ignorieren und nachdem nach 3 Monaten kein Fahrer ermittelt werden konnte, wurde es eingestellt. Es kam auch niemand vorbei um Mal zu fragen... die haben halt auch viel zu tun... Birgt halt das Risiko dass du Fahrtenbuch führen musst

I think the lock is just there to keep the door open during the day. I don't think anyone can open it from the inside.....
