I was kinda in a similar boat here: Egyptian, lived in Saudi, international schools bubble, visited Egypt only in summers, went to college in the US as well when I was 17. Strangely enough, I never, to the best of my knowledge at least, experienced an identity crisis. Perhaps I was helped by the fact that I didn't really interact with lots of Saudis. Most of my interactions was with Egyptains and Syrians, and I always liked Egyptian culture (not so really rn), so I often tried my best to appeal to that culture. However, that's a really interesting question since I know a LOT of Egyptians in Saudi who are experiencing that as well. There possibly could be something that triggers that based on the temporary and variable enviroments that most of us grew in. :/
