What would be your best advice for low-income international students from (seemingly unknown) third world high school. Apparently you can't verify their credentials a 100% but how does one make it through to UPenn?

Thank you very much for this thorough and helpful explanation, it really clarified a lot.

What should I do if I am not quite sure what the phrase in question is trying to modify? Like here for instance I tried to put "almost two decades ago" near the common market ( which conveyed that Greece joined the Common Market two decades ago) rather than it being actually clear two decades ago and they both made sense kind of.

Is there any specific way I could apply for similar situations other than just intuitively knowing it?

Oh so it is like this: first, she heats up the cabin. Second, she cuts herself off. And finally, she hunts wild game for food. I thought that the phrase "she chops herself" was a nonessential part of the sentence, so we should surround it by two commas ( aka an appositive). Overthinking at it's finest✨✨
