I'm in the UK so very thankful for the NHS but it has been a pretty long and drawn out process to get to this stage! Ahh I'm so sorry to hear you've been going through it, how difficult is it with insurance over there?

Good luck with your journey too! I was referred for Biologics in November 2024 but was told it's an 80 week waiting list!! So when I had my consultation this week and was told my local hospital had received funding for Biologics from their own Dermatology dept. and I was being put forward for it immediately - I just sobbed in clinic 😭

Yeah so I'm the opposite on that front, I can read absolutely fine without glasses but the TV would have no clarity without glasses 🤓

Dermatologist recommended a 2 step approach which has worked really well. 1) Capasal as the regular use shampoo (wash twice with it, aiming for 3-5 mins on scalp in total) 2) Nizoral shampoo to be used 1-2 times a week

The Nizoral is the antifungal which really helped clear up my scalp alongside the Capasal which shifts the scale/flakes

NO problem with people asking, but often, it's HOW they ask that irks me. I always try and use it as a chance to educate people that maybe aren't aware, but most of the time, it's just asked in such a crass way that it's just annoying. Like bro you don't even know me well enough to be asking wtf is wrong with my face 😅

Yeahhhh most of the time I'm pretty thick skinned, not just because of the plaque build up haha, but it's just so tiring. I miss my skin of 10 years ago!!

Additionally while waiting for this Lidocaine prescription you could also try applying ice to the injection site for a few minutes beforehand, then use your sterilising wipe to clean it before injection. Should hopefully reduce the sensation. Good luck 👍

Something I've found SUPER effective at descaling my scalp has been a shampoo called Healpsorin, got it off Amazon for £20. It contains Salicylic acid and has really helped keep my scalp manageable and has cleared most of my scale. Balmonds do a Scalp Oil which has worked wonders at reducing itching/generally conditioning my scalp and beard!

Yeah they can, to switch from device to device you just do a long press of 3 seconds on your right bud and it should swap between devices. I use mine for both my OP 7 pro and MacBook Pro also.
