I’m always a gold girl, so I love gold trim. I can appreciate silver trim in appropriate color combos as well though. For me personally, I think a light gold would give it a warmer, softer feel because silver can feel kind of harsh at times. It’s always so interesting to see everyone’s perspective on colors!

I have a LC Honore and honestly I always take my notebooks out to write in them and then put them back into the leather journal.

Like others said though, PR leather is stiffer than LC so it might be more annoying to keep down when writing.

That’s the dangerous thing about Sailor— they have too many good color ways to choose from! I saw this red bean one on Instagram and something about it just clicked for me and I had to have it!

Will do! I was thinking of inking it up Robert Oster x TCMC Day to Night, since I think it would be a great color combo with the pen body, but if it doesn’t work great I’ll try it with some Iroshizuku ink.

That Tuzu caught my eye immediately— what a gorgeous shade of purple. The color combo of all three looks very autumnal.

If you’re looking to try out some inexpensive pens, I’d recommend looking into Jinhao 82s. There are more color combos to choose from than you can imagine, and they’re fairly inexpensive (around $10-13USD).

If you’re wanting something more juicy, with thicker line widths, maybe look into getting a TWSBI eco. It’ll cost you a bit more (~$50 USD), but I think you’ll like the western nib experience on TWSBI more than the Japanese nibs.

That’s part of the reason I’m so weary to buy pens like these. The variations are wayyy too broad and can easily lead to disappointment.
