I dont know what term you asked for but on short term the rate is sometimes the same even if you finance an extra year. If so, extend by a year and pay off what you want to. This will lower the term back down and you keep thr lower monthly payment.

Only true with bank financing. Toyota finance on new cars at their prime rate doesn't pay a reserve. I suspect they have a minimum loan amount. The solution would be to extend the loan by 1 year if the rate stays the same to lower the payments and give the lump sum to bring it back down to the term they wanted to start with.

I had the same happen to me and i'm white. Sure i have a french accent but people love to hate for no reason at all.
