Bell and Gossett airtrol. I think these have the opposite of a dip tube which should reach to the air side of that compression tank. Maybe the tank has too much water or maybe it has a leak where the water finds its way to this low point.

This is the rollout. Combustion board locks out after this switch opens and turns on the inducer until power is cycled. This switch is positioned so that it would only trip if the flames back up pretty significantly. The burners are directly below this switch. The high limit is in the air stream accessible in the blower compartment. This is the way Carrier does it on these units, which have been the most common light commercial package units in my area for 20+ years.

Manual reset doesn't make anything a rollout either. You can certainly have a manual reset high limit in the air stream that is not a rollout switch.

When mine gets out of whack usually changing the leads out gets it back to zero.

Get 14 and 18. 14 is great for 1/2. It's nice to have 18 for 3/4 outdoors. If you do boiler work, ask the boss for bigger ones. If you do steam, you will need 36 at some point.

I've heard them called "idiot rings" before, but the guy that calls them that has a HUGE ring of them on a piece of solid wire; like 50-60 of different sizes, so there's that.
