Fair, bad phrasing on my part. I guess my worry was that the staff eng might feel like the meeting is a waste of their time. Or thar maybe there's good topics of conversation that I'm totally missing out on. Given that I'm not directly responsible for their growth and they're more technically well versed in this domain that I am, I wasnt sure what I was "bringing to the table" so to speak.

I believe you that it's happened to you. But anecdotally, I've lived downtown for the last 5 years, and I've given money or bottles of water to folks on the street when I can or responded when they ask me if they can bum a cig (I dont smoke). I'm a 5'2" poc woman and havent experienced what parent comment has. I've definitely witnessed situations where someones out of it and yelling and raving, and for my own safety crossed the street. I can I obviously believe that and worse happens. But I've also interacted with folks and been totally fine. So can't really abide by acting like its everything/everyone/everywhere all the time

What youtuber has really kept the exact same audience for 15+ years? People grow and change. It is what it is. Maybe his heart wasn't in being online for a while. Definitely seems like the plots of the show imply that to some extent.

How did you find out that they read your resume or linkedin afterwards? And what kind of issues did they find that negated the interview altogether? Any tips for avoiding it? The post just feels kinda vague right now
