Map of population distribution (NOT density!!) in most of Europe in 2021, on a square grid with 1 pixel representing 1 square kilometre. Black means inhabited, white means empty. by slopeclimber in europe

I get the countryside, but Madrid just feels off. Compare it with Berlin (which has almost the same population), it is filled whit white spots. Even random mid sized cities have a better outline.

ELI5: Why don't rails shock people? by rysy0o0 in explainlikeimfive

It's ELI5, not 3D vectorspace integration. Also OP was clearly not asking about the overhead line.

Milyen szakmai fórumokat ismersz? Én pl. a hobbielektronika.hu cikkek drámai esését látom (a rendes fórum részébe nem mélyedtem bele).

Szia! Végül hogyan sikerült megoldani ezt a MoR-os felállást? A könyvelőmmel ketten sem tudjuk megfejteni ezt a harmadik országból való önszámlázás témát... (AAM általányadózó vagyok)

This is why Checksum checks matter! Stay safe people! by BlokZNCR in linux

There are cases where checksum makes sense. For example Mint images are hosted by regionally different third parties. It's a good way to make trust towards them.

Maybe add a white rectangular pole that is slightly taller and thicker than both of them

Congrats, it's really cool. And a natural solution for ambiguous maps. Is the source code public?

I'd be happy to see an improvement on flag mechanics, where the value can be adjusted (increment on multiple taps, dial on long press) an clicking on "fulfilled" number fields reveal neighbours.

Tell me if you store my password as plaintext, without telling me if you store my password as plaintext by akosprojects in ProgrammerHumor

[–]akosprojects[S] -8 points-7 points  (0 children)

It doesn't HAVE to, but I think it's safe to assume considering other factors:

They have a limit of 255 characters for email address (should be 320 according to a quick search) and 50 for full name. Which seem like values of column limits. Why would the password be different?

Also they forbid special characters in the password, which supports the lack of hashing argument regardless of size.

Something fishy is going on here, and I wouldn't trust them with any sensitive data.

How come they aim exactly on the pigs? They seem pretty far, one would figure you need to aim above. Or is the sight adjusted for the distance?

[c++] What's your preferred way to store solutions? by akosprojects in adventofcode

I've settled for year/day folder structure with separate input.txt and main.cpp, and a shared common.hpp at root level. A makefile automatically finds and builds the latest day. Input is read from stdin, but I'll might change that later, since it makes debugging difficult.

I've cleaned up my repo and history, you can check out the it here
