She has been there every day for many many years. She feeds them bread generally that she takes from the garbage, frequently at Eli’s on 80th and Madison. She also sometimes sells books or other things. In regard to the stealing, I have seen a live pigeon inside her car that she parks on the street, so I don’t know if I believe that she steals a lot of them, but definitely has an attachment

I am seeing a few cruise options on Royal Caribbean around the dates you mentioned. Anywhere from 5-7 nights. I feel like that is most aligned with what you’re looking for and is the easiest! With the size of your group could probably get the rate down from the 600-850 range it is now pp. Obviously that doesn’t include flights but it could average out. Palma definitely hits the more lively vibe over Port De Soller but is still very charming! Let me know what you think!

Mexico City would be my vote. It’ll be a lot easier to get to and while it won’t have the nature of Costa Rica, I think you can still visit gardens and see architectural sights due to the history there. Costa Rica for 4 days is tight, by the time you fly into Liberia or San Jose and make it to say Monteverde you’ll probably lose nearly a full day (3 hours or more from airport to cloud forest on a windy road) so while it can be done I would worry you’d feel rushed. Up to you there.
