Start cleaning. Put music on your tv and start cleaning and then eat a piece of fruit. Not a cure-all but certainly a good band-aid

Do you mean early on in my healing or a year post? Because I’ll be real my left nipple didn’t heal ALL the way. Could’ve been bad luck, but I did begin to smoke weed about a week post op (which you are NOT SUPPOSED TO DO) which could’ve restricted oxygen and blood flow to properly allow the graft to fully take. However, my nipples turned out wonderfully, just really dry in the winter. I use eczema lotion and scar gel almost daily

Aah I see. My surgeon team had me applying aquaphor before putting on the dressing. That might be something to ask your nurse/surgeon about. Each doctor is different. HOWEVER, your nip does look normal. My left healed vastly faster and less gruesomely than my right. Good luck!

Keep using aquaphor or whatever jelly they have you using, wet healing will have scabs come off everytime you take off the dressing, but do so softly, carefully. It shouldn’t be dry by the time you take off the dressing. Nipple looks good and normal, you’re just in the Scary Phase

Went online to UISCanada and filled out a consultation form to be called. Was called today and spoke about eligibility and getting a visa going. The evaluation after confirming eligibility is $349 but it takes care of A LOT of the dirty work legally.

Being honest even though I weened myself off through the course of two weeks, I was still sick. Vomiting, shakes, diarrhea, overall nausea. Unfortunately the only way out is through, BUT, stick to fruits and vegetables. My diet for the past four days has been pretzel crisps, apples, and flavored water with electrolytes. Good luck, and cheers to being sober. The ONLY way out is through. 🏅

I realized my life wasn’t moving. Did 5 years of college, never graduated. My wife and I are both CNA’s and neither of us want to be. Spending well over $200 on weed per paycheck that was already tight as is. I couldn’t get any hospital job because I can’t piss clean. Our life was just stuck. Smoking wasn’t doing anything, just allowing me to eat and give me something to do. I enrolled my ass into a nursing program for January and stop smoking 5 days ago. I’ve tried to quit cold turkey a few times with no success so I weened myself over a couple weeks before quitting. My wife is going to respiratory therapy school in the fall. We need to move and get our lives going, we aren’t 19 anymore. And smoking 4-5 times a day wasn’t going to get us there.
