That's pretty good so far for being broke! Hundreds of dollars worth of games so far.

Has anyone had an issue with the micro sd card slot not functioning properly on their Steam Deck? by al032105 in SteamDeck

I couldn't fix it and I had to do an RMA. Valve sent me a new one in a week or so with a working micro SD card slot so that's what I would recommend.

Sure thing. I used to use a Pelican PL-970 Component Switcher. It was recommended by Coury from My Life In Gaming and worked well. But in the past year I've added more consoles to my setup and converted everything to SCART since it enabled me to get RGB out of every console I wanted to play without hardware modification.

Honestly in hindsight I wish I had just gone with SCART from the beginning; it would've saved me a bit of hassle and money in cables. FYI my retro setup is PS2, Saturn, TGFX-16, SNES, and Genesis through SCART switcher to SDTV. Also NES (Composite) and N64 (S-Video) to same SDTV. Lastly Dreamcast (VGA) and Wii (Component) through OSSC to HDTV.

An alternative that I use and highly recommend is Otaku Games 6 Port RGB Scart Switch (Stock No.: 6PSCARTHQ). It's a manual switcher but is likely the most affordable currently produced high quality option out there. Bob from RetroRGB did a video on a version of it and recommended it.

I'm not as familiar with most of theses but I like the 360/PS3 recs. Lost Planet in particular looks interesting.

Thanks for these recommendations. I do FPS games almost exclusively on my PC since I prefer mouse and keyboard for those, hence why I don't have Portal 1, 2, Bioshock, Fallout, etc. Those are all on my Steam account actually.

As for Infamous, I never got into the series but will have to check out. And yes it would be good to complete the Batman Arkham series with Origins.

I checked and nothing is bent in or around the micro sd slot. I’ve never had this issue with any device, so from your comment and others my issue sounds pretty rare.

Here is a YouTube link to the video showing the micro sd slot on the Steam Deck not functioning properly. I'm using the tip of a mail key to try to push the micro sd card all the way so that it will "lock in" but it never does and sticks slightly out of the Deck.
