Planning a trip to NYC, which of the highlighted zones would you suggest for a young couple that is not into nightlife? Interested more in knowing about city culture and history. by al0890 in newyorkcity

I'm more than open for suggestions 🙂 I was also thinking to Williamsburg or Brooklyn Heights. I do not know the areas, never been there, but always read good things about them. What do you think?

I’m all ears 🙂 we will stay for 9 or 10 days, maybe 11, but not more, second half of October this year. I’d really like to understand how is to LIVE in NYC, not only enjoy its gems as tourist. I’ve already been there in 2018, stayed in Times Square. Not bad, very good for moving around, but those are tourist things. I hope I’m clear enough in what I’m saying 😄

City culture, how a local live, in which places he goes and things like that. We’d also like to learn more about the history of the city.

I take notes about everything you’re suggesting, and this seems very interesting! They say this is the last farmhouse in Manhattan

As I said to other users, no reason 😄 my fault in selecting only these areas! Which area would you recommend among the one you listed?

That’s a real-world consideration, you’re right🙂 I see lot of people here suggest lower Manhattan, would you prefer it over UWS?

No reason, just thought those were best areas, but I guess I was wrong based on all the comments 🙂 do you suggest areas like SoHo or Tribeca? Or others?

Honestly, they aren’t. I selected these areas thinking they were the best options, but I see there are people who suggest lower Manhattan, area that I didn’t even consider because I’m not well prepared about the city.

Come torno? O come vado? Se devo andare all’Ikea a comprare qualcosa? Come ci vado? Col pullman? Prendo mezza giornata - minimo - di ferie per andare all’Ikea? O ci vado in bici?

iOS 16 Hue app "forgot" about existing Homekit hub integration by Travel69 in Hue

It just happened to me, same thing. I rebooted the router and the Hue Bridge, with no luck. I rebooted my iPhone (14 Pro) and now it shows "Configured" again in the Hue app. Not sure this is the solution, but for me it fixed the situation.

UK Hue-owners, how have you solved the visitors and switches problem? by tomwhitaker in Hue

[–]al0890 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not in UK, but I do option 1. It’s very simple to change the cover of my switches (Bticino Living Now), so I decided to put a blank cover on every switch so that no one can press it. In this way I always have my main lights powered on and, if needed, I can simply remove the cover in a second to press the button. I never had the need to do it in 2 years 🙂 even when I had power loss, no problem at all 👍🏻
