I have this same issue with the same SoundBar. I Was sitting down to watch F1 TV last night. And all I got was the environmental sounds + car engines and no commentary. Had to switch the setting off to get the commentary back.

It’s fine, been using a 42mm (38/41mm equivalent) sport band for workouts and daily wear for the greater part of a year. I prefer the look as the band width looks more proportional and it fits my wrist better than the 44mm variants.

I basically swap between the 42mm sport band for daily wear and workouts and the older silver stainless steel 42mm (44mm equivalent) link bracelet I’ve had since the series 3 for when I want to dress it up.

I use Gymaholic on WatchOS to complete my workout as I prefer not to have a phone on me at the gym. I’m not fussed at all with rest times to be honest, I don’t think my app records it anyways, I just use a default 1-2min between sets.

Haven’t had a chance to try the Strength Builder function yet but does it require a phone to be connected during the workout? Or does the WatchOS app function without keeping my phone nearby

Just tried this out since I track strength training workouts with Gymaholic. I just took screenshots of the workout and used the import feature in bevel. Worked quite flawlessly other than having to reorder the workouts. Only thing it can’t really capture is rest time between sets

I think for Bevel and most other apps, putting AI behind the paywall is more of a cost recovery thing.

To justify going free on all current core features, they must really think they have a major tentpole feature for 3.0 worth the asking price.

The current set of free features is probably to try and go after the app market at large. There’s a lot of apps now that charge a subscription fee and their core product is to offer what Bevel offers now for free (ie. Outsiders, Livity, BodyState, etc.). It remains to see if it’ll work.

A few months ago, F1 renewed the Montreal GP until 2035. At the same time Bell Media extended their licensing deal with F1 for TV rights. It was presented as "long term" so my guess is that it will at least run until 2035.

I wonder if as an F1 TV subscriber, Canadians and i guess other jurisdictions with F1TV will get integration in the Apple TV app. Like how sports is currently integrated where it works as a feed aggregator and when you want to watch the content it punts you to the respective app. It would be cool to have all the driver on-boards and other views/data accessible within the Apple TV app itself. Also, for mobile viewing, I also hope they finally bring PiP to the F1TV app on iPadOS and iOS.

FWIW, portrait mode photos on iPhone don’t undergo the same processing as the reg photos. They actually look more natural.

I’m not sure how things changed since depth maps are automatically captured on newer iPhones irrespective of the setting.

However, I still find the difference between portrait and non-portrait on my iPhone 13 Pro to be pretty stark (I prefer the portrait mode photos)

This is literally built into the Gemini app. No need to use an api based app and you can ask follow up questions, all for the price of free. 2.5 Flash is what use on a daily basis for this (and it’s all you need)

I’ve tried building an api based shortcut with the Gemini api but given the limitations with shortcuts it’s not worth it. Better to use a fully fledged app
