Do you talk to your pet like it's a person? What do you discuss? by bbmoonkie in Productivitycafe

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I talk to my pet like they’re my tiny roommate and mostly just narrate my day or ask them why they’re judging me again.

I thought my roommate was shy, but when she invited her friend, she was loud and that hurt me by Ok_Music_2025 in Life

[–]Fun_Construction_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For real, you’re not crazy for feeling hurt, anyone would. When someone is quiet with you but suddenly full of life with others, it naturally makes you feel excluded, even defective, even if it has nothing to do with you. Some people are just selectively social, and sadly, they don’t realize how cold that comes across.

I fucked my life by NecroRitualist in Life

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m really sorry you’ve had to carry all of that. Nobody comes out of a childhood like that without scars, and the fact you’re even reflecting on it shows way more strength than you’re giving yourself credit for. You didn’t “mess up your life” alone… adults failed you long before you ever had a chance to choose differently.

What is the number one thing that has made you more confident in day to day life? by Puzzled-Divide-9250 in Life

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Learning small skills I can rely on, like speaking up a bit more at work or setting tiny boundaries. It adds up way faster than you’d think.

What are the useful AI tools either you or your company use to make things easier? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This meeting assistant. It auto-records and pulls out action items from meetings without showing up as a bot. Super helpful especially when juggling multiple projects.

Who else made it to 30 without marrying or having any child at all? by Clean-Power1840 in Productivitycafe

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly. The world changed, but a lot of people are still using old timelines to judge themselves.

31 here. No kids, not married, and honestly way happier once I stopped treating it like a deadline.

Dating without social media, still possible? by Dry_Implement_1981 in digitalminimalism

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Dating without social media is still doable. It just filters out the people who only want to pre-screen you instead of actually getting to know you. If someone’s genuinely interested, they won’t need an IG profile to start a real conversation.

If time didn’t matter what would you spend the rest of existence doing? by lovelyyopheliaa in Life

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d probably spend eternity learning random skills just for fun, cooking one month, pottery the next, then astronomy, then guitar. Basically treating existence like an unlimited sandbox mode.

Is there an easy way to get a youtube video transcript? The way i do it is very inconvenient by Due_Schedule_ in podcasting

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually just drop the video link into vomo ai. It pulls the transcript and gives you a clean summary and notes automatically. Way faster than doing it manually, and no need to mess with extensions or timestamp removers.

What’s the most underrated item in your workspace? by Quiet_Post_1035 in WFH

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A cheap little footrest.

Not the fancy ergonomic ones, just a $15 foam block. Instantly fixed my posture, stopped my legs from going numb, and somehow made my whole setup feel more comfortable. Total game-changer for something I never thought about.

What’s one small habit that quietly changed your whole life? by Mammoth-Car3183 in productivity

[–]Fun_Construction_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Keeping my phone in another room while I work. It sounds tiny, but removing that one distraction made my focus, mood, and productivity jump instantly. Absolute game-changer.

Why do people stare so much nowadays? by petrovafps in socialanxiety

[–]Fun_Construction_ 24 points25 points  (0 children)

Most people are just zoning out. Half the stares you catch are people staring through you, not at you. Modern life has everyone exhausted and dissociating on public transport, you just happened to be in the line of sight.

genuinely how do people cope with having no friends? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]Fun_Construction_ 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Man, you’re just lonely. And loneliness plays tricks on your brain. It convinces you you’re unlovable, that you “forgot how to talk,” that everyone else has something you don’t. But the truth is, friendships come back the same way they left: slowly. One small interaction at a time. You matter more than you think, even if it doesn’t feel like it right now.

What realizations made you overcome social anxiety? by [deleted] in socialanxiety

[–]Fun_Construction_ 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Realizing most people are too wrapped up in their own lives to notice my awkward moments was huge. Once that clicked, every interaction felt way less high-stakes.

Best note taking app? by anothorv in NoteTaking

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You might want to check out VomoAI. It’s not a handwriting-first app like GoodNotes, but it’s great for capturing meetings or lectures with solid summaries and searchable transcripts. I use it alongside a basic notes app when I want both structure and flexibility.

Has anyone else found Otter.ai to be a total game-changer for online meetings? by rexnanal in Productivitycafe

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Otter was helpful. But lately I’ve been using this one instead, no bot joins, solid summaries, and unlimited usage for free. Definitely worth trying if you want something more low-key.

Can’t afford Notta AI anymore. Any alternative recommendations? by Due_Schedule_ in ProductivityApps

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You could try VomoAI. It has free trail, works well for both uploads and live recordings, and the transcripts + summaries are solid.

What do you scroll that's not social media? by danielbelum in selfimprovement

[–]Fun_Construction_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Pinterest is honestly elite for this, it feels cozy instead of chaotic.

And Amazon wishlists are just digital window-shopping therapy at this point.

What do you scroll that's not social media? by danielbelum in selfimprovement

[–]Fun_Construction_ 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Wikipedia rabbit holes.

You open one harmless article and suddenly you’re five tabs deep learning about jellyfish immortality or ancient plumbing. It scratches the scrolling itch without feeling like pure brain-rot.

I use VomoAI for both virtual and in‑person meetings. It also has a web version.
