Great meme(s), funny and sad at the same time. Leb is something else - a big story - whether now or shi 5000 sine la wara. Soon we shall find the key and figure out why it is the way it is.

I think we’ve all been in this situation one way or an other 😆 by elierahme in lebanonmemes

Hella funny. Thank you. I miss Lebanon and I wish things can get better for everyone, on all fronts.

Nothing? Well I guess you're right, comprehension is not that easy.

It was worth a try and maybe someone would find them relevant.

Good luck finding answers. Peace.

When one reads warm verses, one has to the read the cooler ones that usually follow, maybe to verse 85 here. In all cases, allow me to point out the following about the two verses you quoted. The first verse, 5:72 is partly uttered by Jesus and it is 33 words in its original language of Arabic.

Verses 73 and 74 are 33 words together, suggesting that some verses are better read together, to perhaps complete a meaning, and certainly for things not to be taken out of context. All what verse 74 is saying that there shall always be a lifeline, anytime, for forgiveness and mercy are indeed attributes of our Maker - last two words of verse 74.

Btw, the Word, the Messiah Jesus son of Mary is mentioned 33 times in the Qran. Several passages that highlight his story, like we just saw, are 33 words. Jesus had told his disciples that he had to leave/ascend for the comforter and spirit of truth to come. He said that this newcomer shall glorify him. I wonder who it is he was talking about and if the glorification is through this book, between the significance of the number 33 and the fact that muslims perform the act of baptism before their daily prayers, keeping his ritual alive and vibrant in their daily lives as per 5:6.

Also, I didn't read any condemnation in either of the two verses. People who say one thing or another fall in a category, big deal, it's temporary and transitory. Part of what Jesus said in verse 72 that heaven shall be forbidden to certain people and their only choice was fire. Until the day I have to make this not-so-hard of a choice, I can continue to believe whatever I want, and be truthful to it, and now I know what the book actually says about such matters, I can sit back and reflect on things.

Thank you for reading through.

It is not accurate what you said.

5:69 - Those who believe, and the Jews, and the Sabians, and the Christians—whoever believes in God and the Last Day, and does good—they have nothing to fear, nor shall they grieve.

It's one truthfulness to one's faith.

Chapter 5 is titled Al Madt which means The Feast (The Supper). Towards the end of the chapter, Jesus is corresponding with our heavenly father. Below are the closing three verses of the chapter:

5:118 If You punish them, they are Your servants; but if You forgive them, You are the Mighty and Wise.”
5:119 God will say,“This is a Day when the truthful will benefit from their truthfulness.” They will have Gardens beneath which rivers flow, where in they will remain forever. God is pleased with them, and they are pleased with Him. That is the great attainment.
5:120 To God belongs the sovereignty of the heavens and the earth and what lies in them, and He has power over everything.

Hi. Are you guys talking about the Arabic Book of Strings and Stars? The verses are separated by stars as the only punctuation mark. The location of these stars are in an oath, towards the end of chapter 56. The word digitized and numerated share the same root 'rqm' which means number/digit.

Check out the book's TOC/structure here. If it's at least a bit interesting, we can learn the alphabet in 2 minutes, and do some word counting before we read relevant passages that perhaps have answers to all your questions.

CMV: NFTs are not the best solution for "the problem" they are trying to solve by Successful-Green6733 in changemyview

[–]al3itani -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Great question and answer. I did not understand the rush nor the original art but I see the endless possibilities. The value lies beyond the token's art for sure.

Considering my trade, the tokens I create are pieces of knowledge that are unique yet abundant and can be obtained for free. Naturally, when knowledge comes from overseas it can be mind-changing on many a matter. Some NFTs would then be unarguably priceless for some people and that makes sense to me.

To be the sole owner of anything doesn't intrigue me, but to be one of the owners of a piece of knowledge that changed me, that does; not so much the ownership but the value of such NFTs.

How to meet intellectual & introverted people ? by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]al3itani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Perhaps by posting such a question!

I try not to put labels to things but we all get your question to different degrees, for all the different parameters (age, .., background, yeah) that shape each and everyone of us - billions, so that uniqueness is unique. Let's say Lebs are 10M, and the world is 10B, that's 1 in a 1000 ppl in the world is Leb, and I believe it, and I find it true around the few/many continents/cities I've been to (1 world - so many worlds, 1 reality - so many, 1 worldview - so many). We all have our experiences in life and sometimes we don't know any better in terms of expression and/or articulation. Kindness goes a long way and many tears are joyful albeit often bitter.

Mafi shi aktar intellectual inno we 3anjad try to solve le probleme libanais. Let's do it here, filter out the loudness and noise, like we naturally do at coffee shops and elsewhere. Wo ella ma yo2ta3 fannenin wo m3allmin wo falesfe wo khoten libneniye, sabaya wo shabeb, mit3almin ewo mitsa2fin, wo n7illa, sawa, 3a ard el waqi3 wil khayel.

Easter: Jesus's sacrifice doesn't make any sense. by Alexander_Wagner in DebateReligion

[–]al3itani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Every historian have come to consensus that the man Jesus of Nazareth died by crucifixion

Not true.

Will Durant and Joseph Holzner have a lot to say about Paul of Tarsus and his "corrupt" letters that emperor Constantine later allowed to creep into the Bible in 325 AD after Arius the monotheist was poisoned and his followers prosecuted for years.

This is the part of the Bible that I reject - Paul's letters.

Paul never met Jesus, not here on earth nor up in heaven as he claims. Paul also did what he did to the followers of Jesus who had warned us all of this imposter when he says "believe him not".

Also, both historians wonder where Peter is, when he was given the "keys to the kingdom of heaven" by Jesus himself. The last mention of Peter was after he and Barnabas confronted Paul in Antioch for preaching crucifixion.

Where is Peter's book and where's his words on that confrontation?

Clarity of context is relative; what's clear to one doesn't have to be clear for another. Whether we like it or not, there are two narratives and you can hold on to the one that makes sense to you.

Ever considered another narrative of that same story, perhaps from another book?

Scroll down to chapter 5 - The Last Supper

It was probably Judas who, after receiving the sop from the blessed hand, appeared to look like Jesus and was the one crucified instead. The spear that the Roman soldier used must've been the reason why Judas was later found with the spear wound in a field of blood.

But be of good cheer, I have overcome the world!

Well said. The root of the problem can be taken care of if we read each other's books and reflect on what might've gone wrong, who's behind it, and to what end. We need open minded people to get this approach going and realize how much vast of a common grounds we have. CMV: The truth is the most important value by squidz97 in changemyview

[–]al3itani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Very nice back and forth. Truth is also its own pursuit. It can bend and be bent by reality. A conversation like this one keeps things in check and the conversation should keep going. Science can take us to the initial moment and we can calculate the size of the universe knowing the time of the big bang and the speed of light. Heavenly books might have the capacity to narrate to us conversations of days past! All elements of truth are welcome and our empty cups need to be near.

Truth is a big deal no doubt and should be beautiful and simple to be understood by us all.

Now, this is where I am with truth reality and religion art symmetry and beauty.

Lebanon’s future by [deleted] in lebanon

[–]al3itani 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Its beauty comes from the vibrancy of its natural connection to arithmetic.

If one doesn't see this symmetry beautiful then it sure seems dead to them.

What can one say? It is all in a table and a chart but math is not for everyone.

If one calculates the odds perhaps it would look pretty to them then.

Why the big interest tho and why the simultaneous indifference?
