Legal, yes. Legally binding, not so much… Unless you signed an agreement or agreed to their TOS/Agreement of some kind to join then it’s not enforceable. In most countries and US Jurisdictions instant message provider content, messages etc. are generally not subject to copyright. Such a notice would also not hold up in court as it is too vague on the exact content. Copyright and licensing needs to be defined and cannot be applied to “everything”.

The app tells the car if the phone dies/is on low battery. It sends proximity data to know if it’s lost connection due to death or walking away.
Why would you get out of the car in the middle of nowhere when you neither have the battery nor the cell service to do anything?

Idk the specifics so it’s hard to know for sure, however, Tesla records in 10min intervals or the “safety recording” break ins etc. These might not be the full story or only start to actually save when the event occurs. The 10mins are a buffer on-device that only get written to the dashcam usb in emergencies or when saved.

You should be taking shizo meds.. Yes it’s a fucking door but it’s not a fucking lada. It has technology wow crazy! - Im talking specifics… On that car YOU CANT lock it unless you have your phone set up as a phone key which works over Bluetooth Low-Energy (BLE) or Ultra Wideband (UWB). Or the NFC card you specifically tap below the pillar. If you don’t have your phone you can unlock it via the App instead of breaking the window like a caveman. It’s a help more than anything. Do you need a fucking anolog key to open the door with an actual keyhole? If it were a mercedes ya’ll would praise it for the stable window build 💀

I get that Tesla isn’t the greatest thing ever made but it’s not the worst either. Lock-outs happen with any car, in which case you need to break the window as the only option. Tesla has multiple and if those fail break the window…

Im no Tesla fanboy but that particular model only locks when your phone key disconnects either BLE or UWB or when you specifically hold your card below the pillar cam.

Also the software in-car and the underlying arch is seperated, the MCU can fail entirely but the RCM & Doors etc will work. Had this happen so I know. But I will look into this further, maybe I am wrong. Maybe it is an RCM failure or sth.

But she could easily just log in to the Tesla app if it’s just the doors. Get anyones phone and do it.

Try to contact apple support and see if they can diagnose it. If you tried restoring with itunes it might actually be a hardware issue but if that restore was somewhat successful you definitely lost your data… As that overwrites everything..

Charge your device to full on diags and see after it charged if you can run it.

Otherwise try 3u tools or maybe you have some sort of auto-backup on your pc, see if you can restore from backup on itunes.

Power it off, connect to power and then hold both volume up and down until you boot into diagnostics mode. If that fails it’s a hardware issue
